It's playing in your conventional theatre? Have they arranged a temporary 3D setup? If it is temporary then make the trip to the IMAX. My review above was from viewing in a non IMAX theatre. It would probably look just great if its your first time seeing the movie but it just doesn't compare to the real IMAX or Read D theatre. Make the trip.

From what I've read and from my own IMAX experience, make the trip I agree.

I drove for 2 hours; stick a bootleg on and it;s not that far...

    Hey there!!
My advise, take the two hour trip to the IMAX, For sure. It was a 6 hour trip I had to take!! Well worth it!!
If your able to see it at your conventional theater, go as well. For me, every experience has been different. Iv'e seen it four times. At three different theaters.
First time: IMAX AMAZING!!!! Second and third time neighborhood theater: Pretty Crappy! Sound was not turned up and the screen was small. It did support the movie, however, as far as 3D capabilities. Fourth time: GREAT!! Sound was TURNED UP LOUD, Screen was wide enough. This was also a conventional theater, but in a more populated area of town and overall better quality.
I have also found that the audience has alot to do with your experience. If you feel comfortable to be free. It's great. But if you have people that shush you, or people that just sit there, It's difficult to jam to your favorite songs.
Either way, I'm still amazed that I get to see my favorite band at the movies!! SOOO COOOOL!!!

BTW:: The manager said, the more poeple go see the movie the longer it stays at the theaters!! I'll be going again!!!
  7. i would kill for a rip of the soundtrack CD, the start of One is utterly amazing, does anybody know which show it comes from, or is it a mix of different ones? The "shine a light" bit seems to be from Brazil second night, but the speech is from Argentina

  8. It is allowed to record it, isn't it? I mean, that audio would be great....

Already exists on Youtube. And recording in a theater isn't allowed.

And when you do it by accident... No, I won't do it...I got other things to do when I see that movie
  12. I have seen U23D in London, because we thought that was going to be the first showing.
it was great. Went to Birmingham last Saturday, not such a big screen, but better glasses that were a good fit and not scratched like the London ones.
I WISH WE HAD GONE TO DUBLIN !!!!!!
There you go - we didn't. The film was awesome. (there's gotta be a third time, I think)
