    The "million of illegal votes" is a farce. The GOP was saying that even before the elections just to cover their asses in case they lose.
    But it pains me to say this recount is not going to prosper. There is just not evidence that online voting was hacked or anything like that.
    Trump has nothing to fear on that recount and still, he's showing his true anti-democratic colors by still peddling conspiracy theories on "millions" of dead people voting, etc.

    Here's the truth: Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by more than 2 million votes, despite heavy voting restriction on poor neighborhoods and university campuses on states controlled by the GOP like Wisconsin and North Carolina.
    I didn't say millions. However, via some people I know that live in California, no ID was required to vote, and all "I Voted" stickers were in Spanish. So I'm just saying that it probably did happen, but not on the scale Trump claims.

    So what? Many states don't require voting ID. That doesn't make it illegal to vote. And what if the stickers were in Spanish? In California, everything is in Spanish.
    I don't like what you're implying: Spanish speaker = illegal immigrant.

    I'm not implying that. That's a very extreme way of interpreting what I said, which honestly, I don't appreciate. I have several legitimately residing Spanish-speaking friends whom I'm pretty close with.

    My point is that California literally borders a Spanish-speaking nation, and most people that immigrate to the US from Mexico, legally or not, probably speak Spanish.

    This wasn't my original point, either. Paper ballots and no ID = high risk of voter fraud.
  5. Well, you said that because the stickers were in Spanish something fishy must had happened there, which I fail to see why.
    Nevertheless, you can count by dozens (no more than 50) only the actual cases of voter fraud since 2000, among more than 100 million votes. One of the few cases of actual voter fraud was by a women in Iowa... that voted for Trump twice because "the election was rigged".
    Statistically, there's more risk of getting hit by lighting than voter fraud.
    There is no validity on what Trump said whatsoever. He lost the popular vote, by more than 2 million votes, plain and simple.

    I think every voter should have to show their ID. There are millions of illegal immigrants is a right and privaledge of all legal citizens. Plus we have to show our ID for just about every other activity we do. Driving, buying alcohol, checking into a hotel room, joining the military or police etc.

    Stein contended that this was a "hack-riddled election" that warrants a second look at the votes. Trump won by thin margins in the three states Stein aims to contest.

    Speculation that electronic voting machines could be hacked has largely been debunked, primarily because the machines are not connected to the internet.

    On Saturday, the Clinton campaign's general counsel, Marc Elias signaled that the campaign would indeed participate in the recount, citing "claims of abnormalities and irregularities." Elias added, however, that there is so far no evidence that the results were manipulated.

    Stein said that any additional money raised will go toward "election integrity efforts and to promote voting system reform," but according to former FEC chairman and election lawyer Michael Toner, it is unlikely she will be able to do that.
  10. The problem is when the laws make it very hard for citizens, specially minorities, the elderly and students to get the required ID. That becomes voter suppression, which is more serious than voter impersonation.
    People went to the Government offices with a lot of documents and still were denied an ID that would allowed them to vote.
    Even I that I'm legal here am struggling for more than 2 months just to get a drivers license in Indiana (that will only last me 10 months). This week I have to go again to an office 30 mins from where I live just because they can't do their job right the first or second time.

    Nothing will change in that recount. Trump won because the Electoral College rules are like that, we have to accept it and try to change it for next election.
    This whole recount feels more like a Jill Stein's scam than anything else. No reason for Trump to loose his shit about this.

    If you are going to ask for an ID to vote, at least make it easy for people to get access to it and allow people to show any kind of ID to exercise their constitutional right.
    In Wisconsin, voter ID law does not accept U.S. Veterans Administration ID cards, so just like that you are forbidding many veterans to vote.
    In Texas, University of Texas ID cards are not accepted but concealed weapons permits are accepted? (it's Texas after all)
    Not to mention North Carolina and Florida's insane early voting suppression bills affecting a size of the population way bigger than the margin of Trump's victory in each state.
    These were real voting issues.
