    In his trial for the murder of Rebecca Schaeffer, Robert John Bardo used "Exit" as part of his defence, claiming the song had influenced his actions.

    That's Remy's point, it couldn't be played in the years that followed.
  6. I'm thinking there must be something in Toronto? U2 has a pretty long history with the city...that would be the only way I'd get to go. And even then it is an expensive trip.
  10. It has been an easy but not good excuse in my mind for not playing the song. But I'd suggest that even if it hadn't been used as defence in the trial it still wouldn't have been performed again anyway. Trip hasn't been played even longer and there's no controversy around that, it's just the way u2 do things.

    The subscription gift for 2017 could well be SOE, and it might be out on the Anniversary of TJT in March, with the tour commencing in May, where they will once again be touring new material on the road
