Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Legs (3): Leg 1 - North America, Leg 2 - Europe, Leg 3 - The Americas
Shows: 52
  1. if they started the tour in south america or australia, instead north america and europe, would have big sales, right?
  2. Superexcited!! I´m allready drooling over songs that I might finally hear live!
But where to go? Me and my wife had to rule out some cities and London, Rome, Dublin and Amsterdam are our options.
Luckily this time around we can ponder our options for whole of tomorrow!
  3. I hope we will hear some old Bad snippets
  4. Any rumors about other European cities than Dublin getting two concerts?
  5. Has U2.com indicated what you can get with the presale codes this time? Is it 4 tix to any one show or can be split 2 tickets across 2 shows, etc again?

Apologies if this has been covered already.
  6. Even the video trailer says "The entire album, live in full for the first time ever".

No way they break that promise. There'd be lawsuits.
  7. Just a thought as read this elsewhere today. "This tour is only being done to satisfy contractual agreements with Live Nation and also to divert attention from the new album which is likely delayed once more"...Discuss

This was touted last week. Makes sense. The band had likely booked shows for 2016 on the basis that SOE would have been released giving them momentum to continue the tour. That never happened. These gigs replace those shows that never happened.

Dont think so, they wanted to finish the IE Tour, why book stadiums? Plus they shot the JT cover back in 2015.
  10. It just means a greater variety of shows for us in a smaller amount of time. They'll be touring this year AND next year with a completely different show. Woohoo!
  11. I didn't say they had stadiums booked. I imagine they planned to bring the arena setup through to 2016 combining SOI/SOE. That never happened leaving 2016 entirely vacant when it should have been a productive touring year.

I wouldn't like to think U2 had planned two years in advance for a tour celebrating thirty years of the Joshua Tree. They aren't a band that looks back. This tour does smell of some sort of corporate obligation.
