Well, £9.50 extra per ticket because you get the gift as well.

Yeah but I maintain that was totally different.
  4. Not totally, but yes, I agree with you that its unlikely they'll suddenly play just 5 songs from The Joshua Tree tour this time. However, Bruce did it as well for the The River tour. From playing the album in full in the US to not doing that at all anymore (apart from 1 show) in Europe.

For I+E lots of people (especially here) were really freaking out about making sure to have tickets for both nights.

I remember being extremely aggravated when they pulled that switch. I of course ended up st all 8 msg shows and enjoyed them immensely. But still.

Yeah I remember, I was one of those people But there was also a lot of doubt that they'd actually do it. Their reasoning for changing that decision made sense though, and it was foreseeable.

I don't see them advertising this and then going back on it.

I can't speak for Bruce because I know nothing about it. Was it advertise the exact same?

That I don't know but for sure if you play something in full in the US then Europeans expect to get the same show. I was a bit disappointed.

Still I enjoyed it though so these are not big issues

I'll still enjoy U2 if they'll do greatest hits, I'll probably just enjoy some parts of the show a bit less.

Agreed. Those of us who CAN go to these shows will, whether or not U2 decides to leave Red Hill off the setlist, but I'm holding out hope.

I think they'll deliver. On SoI they were really good about playing to the fan's demands (I'm sure some would disagree, but playing tunes like Gloria, Two Hearts, Crystal Ballroom etc. was pretty fan-servicey to me). I have high hopes.

That DOES suck about Bruce though.

  9. I imagine a full album will be done. Maybe they will delay it forever, so we can have a duet featuring 67 year old Bono singing to 49 year old Bono (NLOTH outtake) about the importance of making an album on time, so it gets released around 2034 or so.

First single "It takes So Long" (67 year old Bono, 49 year old Bono) Featuring Axl Rose
  10. All announced The River Tour 2016 shows will include an in-sequence, complete performance of The River album in addition to other Springsteen favorites. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 11. See you on the road!

At that point though, it was only the US dates that were announced.

I think you guys are being pessimistic, how could they say that and then go back on it?
They don't even need to fail that promise to disappoint: one song acoustic, another half assed played with a fan, a glorified snippet of other song, etc.
I'm just saying, everyone was all over the moon with the 2 show theories for SOI. I prefer being cautious.
