    No they didn't. N2 took a while to sold out, and N3 and 4 took WEEKS to properly sold out (sold out means no ticket is available, including Red Zone and expensive seats).

    They just don't want to.

    It would take five hours to get everyone into the venue.

    Solutions are there. A 6 or 8 ticket limit on a single purchase is way too high for a start.

    The only other option is to feed the demand with more shows.


    Back in 2013 they double-checked every single ID and ticket for Roger Waters at the Aviva, and it was smooth as skil. Only many more gates opened than usual.

    It can be done but at the cost to the venue/ticketmaster for supplying extra staff and ticket reading equipment. No doubt you would find costs passed onto the the fans.

    I was talking about the non package deals. The discussion about scalping is about non-package tickets, which are not meant for normal fans but for business trips.For this tour there are also package deals still available.
  7. I hope I can get tickets to Toronto tomorrow. I'm really disappointed that the pre-sale didn't work out for me.

    Agreed. It is mostly a money thing.
    I have never seen or heard that these checks actually happen at a U2 show.

    He's right. Only three events allowed per annum. Coldplay have one, supposedly Ed Sheeran has the other booked. Hence the increasing unlikelihood that there will be a second show.

    They, the residents, ruined Garth Brook's in 2014, have no doubt that there's many who would happily screw over Bono given the general view.
    Garth (or his management) has also part in this.
    They didnt want to come and play for these 3 days. He could have played these 3 first dates or try to do 2 concerts on a day or try to reschedule somewhere else.

  12. Touring an album that's 30th years old is hardly relevant but yeah, always good news to see hundreds of thousands getting passionate about our band all around the continent
