1. They did not rehearse the POP songs very well before the start of the PopMart tour unfortunately.
  2. They couldn't find the time to rehearse, I'm sure -- and this was a set of songs that demanded serious rehearsal or reinvention just to work live.

Hi btw! What a great album Pop is, my personal favorite is Please, but honestly I enjoy every song on it.
Am I right about SATS and Glastonbury? Because that's how I remember it but I can't find anything about it online

Yes, and Bono had vocal problems at Las Vegas rehearsals.
  5. Also gotta get in a mention to Pop for featuring some of U2's best b-sides: North and South of the River, Happiness Is a Warm Gun [The Gun Mix] - I can't stomach the Beatles' original after hearing this one!, and my personal favourite of all their b-sides, Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad.

Oh, and I love this version of Dirty Day on the Please single:
  7. The full band performances have always sounded a little disjointed to me. There's a lot going on in the album that comes together to make it what it is, they just couldn't get it right live. Sure, they improved from the opening night but it still never quite settled. The acoustic was a fair compromise.

The did not rehearse the full band version very well unfortunately. It's the same with If God Will Send His Angels. That was not a fair compromise.
