Tour: Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Songs played: 23
Audio recordings: 1
Videos: 1
  1. ASOH Bad Streets
  2. I think not.
It's one of their signature songs and it contains the heart of the
bigger idea that is U2: Pride, in the name of Love.
It just can't be dropped. It just can't.

And certainly not in these times of terrorist attacks, climate change
and unfair wealth distribution. I don't say that "Love" is the answer
to all this issues, I'm just saying that it is one of the core values of
our civilized society. One that clearly defines us from the terrorist
with their unmatched hate, and one that is hopefully strong enough
    to care for future generations.

Pride is "in" and will stay "in" - o yeah!
  3. ASOH!
    ASOH
    ASOH
    ASOH!
    ASOH!
  4. I was just watching The Middle. Mom and daughter were waiting in line all night for Justin Bieber tickets. It reminds me of when I waited in line all night at Sportmart back in 1987 for U2 tickets for the famous April 29th, 1987 show in Chicago. I was 17 at the time. What a show that was. They played Mothers and Springfield Mining Disaster. I seen them two other times that year. The weird part was not many people liked them at the time. It was hard to find someone to go with. Times have changed.
  5. Though I chose not to see them in Chicago (seems like a greatest hits tour), I agree with BigGirl. Pride should stay for the positive message of MLK. To choose peace and love over anger and hate. There's not much peace and love in the world nowadays including America. The world seems so angry now. Especially the left in America where they protest against killing the police. "Pigs in a blanket, Fry them like bacon". And right now in America the media is so hateful. Bill Maher using the N word and all. Kathy Griffin showing a picture of a beheaded Trump. It's a shame and the complete opposite of what MLK was about.

I don't know about it being a greatest hits tour, there probably playing more or at least as many non singles as they always have. However I agree pride definitely has its place on this tour, it's not the song I'd chose to go into Streets but I would have it in they opening few songs still, probably put Bad in after it or switch pride and ASOH and out Bad after ASOH, but minor details really, no big complaints.
  7. It's definitely a greatest hits tour. What else would it be? It's all about the money and it's pretty sad. U2 play the same setlist night after night. You all get excited when then add A Sort Of Homecoming, which sounds terrible on this tour. They are nowhere near Pearl Jam as a band.

It can't be a greatest hits tour when almost half of the setlist is non singles, 9 non singles last night. I also disagree with your points about it being about the money, that ASOH is terrible on the tour and that they are nowhere near pearl jam but that is a matter of opinion.

    What a show indeed

"Shut up for a second, will ya...?" "And stop whistling, because I'm not in The Beatles, Ok. It's U2 here..."
(Bono at the start of Springhill Mining Disaster)

No offence but Perl jam can hold U2s drinking cup.
