  5. It's interesting that they list Pittsburgh as a sellout.

I'd say suspicious more than interesting, they did the same with 360, I don't know if there's a way they can some how get away with labelling it as a sell out tour even when it's not just for positive publicity. I remember giving Wikipedia figures and they claimed sell outs through out the 360 tour, there isn't any sources out there that go against that even though we all know plenty of tickets were available for Pittsburgh on both tours and I know first hand that Hampden Park wasn't full as well on 360.
  7. The promoter can declare a show as "sold out" even if there's tickets available on public sale. I heard -not sure when or where, and possibly only applies to Spain- they declare sold-outs when >90% of the tickets are sold. At least here in Spain when a show is truly sold-out they make abundantly clear that there won't be any tickets at the box office or anything. 90% of the Pittsburgh tickets mean around 50K sold and 5K unsold, which kind of matches the figures that surfaced the days prior to the show (4K tix available iirc which then went down to 2K).

    Yeah that explanation seems to fit. Bit of a fraud still labelling it a 'sold out' tour but guess they're all at it, for stadium tours anyway. And in fairness the attendance figures are still impressive on the whole.

    well... nothing more fraudulent here (imo) than when live nation/ticketmaster starts it's own "official" ticket re-sale site so they can basically encourage scalpers to list on their site and take a cut from resale of ticket, too...

    Yeah that's a far bigger problem in fairness. I'm glad that politicians even had a say on the matter following the sale of TJT tour tickets. I think there should be no re sale sites or if it was fair they could have only face value re sales allowed anything else should be illegal really, look at the opportunists (im being kind using that term) who tried to make money of the One love Manchester gig, needs to be seriously clamped down on.

    I would be fine if the guidelines were face value only. or even a slight percentage over face value so the seller could cover his (second) cut of ticketmaster fees... but to basically encourage scalpers to make a killing without even leaving their couch is just wrong.
