  1. Illogical but nice. Let's see, we're just a couple of weeks away.


  2. The National just released their new single in May and their new album comes out in September....so it could happen.
  3. The new way everybody is doing it is release a song or two before album comes out. If the first single has a summer vibe like I think "The Best Thing" is I think they are stupid not to release it soon.
    John Mayer did 4 songs at a time and it worked.
    There is no formula anymore. Uncharted waters for all artists.

    50-date campaign began in in Vancouver on May 12 and continues across North America, Europe and South America deep into October, with more dates looking likely.

    Album long ready, but more dates coming to extend through the year, possibly into new year?
  7. Looks like that means that the rumors about a December release prove true, then! Despite Adam admitting that he's not sure when they will actually release it because of the success of the JT tour, I can't see them waiting any longer than the end of this year if SOE is indeed already "done." Having a 30th anniversary tour drag into the 31st year would just be weird, anyway. Let's bring back that indoor arena intensity that he talked about with "Experience and Innocence" returning!

    Yeah an indoor tour will be great again, gets you so close to the band, I think I&E despite being recognised as a success is still underrated, you literally couldn't get a bad spot in ga.

    If more dates are added, they'll likely go until at least right before Christmas... so, if the intent is not to release album until after tour, I'm saying early next year...

    I don't know where they get the information from though saying more dates look likely. Has there been anything new rumoured recently? I don't think the tour will run til December could be some dates added here and there but nothing major.
