Will post show reviews tomorrow. Atmosphere was incredible for both evenings. I have to say best shows so far this tour! ?
Awesome! Glad you had an amazing time. IMO this tour was the best yet.

  2. Great pic! Looking forward to seeing more

  3. Actually, yes I am. A person's musical taste develops during the formative teenage years, which for me would be the mid 2000s and during that time I was deeply interested in instrumental soundtracks. U2 was my entry point into conventional music, although my father did listen to a lot of The Beatles and Andrea Bocelli.

There are a lot of songs that I recognize because I've heard the song played somewhere before, but I can't attach a name to the tune.
  4. I have to say if someone told you last year that on the next tour you will hear RHMT,Exit and MOTD you wouldn't believe it.went with my daughter on night 1 and she is the same age as I was on the original JT tour.we both thought the show was awesome-if they play Bad I'm always sold?
We were down the front in GA and I have to say crowd went mental for the BD/Elevation/Vertigo so as much as I'd love IWF or Electric Co sometimes you have to give in to the masses.

One show per city? Play the same set. Fine.

A second show in the same city? Those six encore songs could/should be completely different. (Hey, I'm not even going to knock the opening four - they work).

Mmm well technically the encore for night 2 was different plus theyre playing 6 songs that most of us have never heard live before and will probably never hear again- I don't understand why people complain about the set list
  6. People will always complain about the setlist. Then again, it's easy to complain about everything when you are attending multiple shows per tour. Believe it or not, the average fan will attend probably one show per tour and maybe not even every tour. The general demographic of this website is definitely not your average fan. I mean, when you have a dedicated external hard drive specifically for U2 bootlegs, you probably don't qualify as an average fan anymore...
  7. Roger Waters play exactly the same setlist every night even if there are multiple nights in one city and nobody complains about it...
  8. Ultraviolet She was part of the female icons.
  9. Curious that the Guardian gave such a review of the show. It fairly points out the nostalgic aspects of the show while also highlighting the areas that were clearly risk points, such as opening the a stadium show with no multimedia involvement and playing the album in sequence.

There will always be people who say this entire tour is just a lazy way for U2 to fulfill contractual obligations, but I'd counter that by arguing that there are much easier ways to fulfill contractual agreements with minimum compliance. Why bother with a stadium tour when you could just as easily sell out small arenas? Why involve such a large stage and implement multimedia elements? Why bother even going to South America?
  10. Best gig ever.
