  1. Amsterdam 1 for me was wrecked by disgraceful sound quality so my least favourite gig so far, I certainly won't be going back to the ArenA. God knows what Joe O'Herlihy thought. Noel sound was even worse.

    That said the crowd were great, the GA was rammed and looked phenomenal during the epic songs, Streets, etc, the band were ace, the BD balloons worked really well, MW was great (even if the girl was an actress ?) as was Bad with Heroes.

    O.k. but I liked it a lot so most of us did. It was amazing. Oh yeah and the girl was a fashion fotographer, I forget her name. It was told on dutch television. Probably it was set up and she knows Ali Hewson.
  3. I'm at work now and came alongside Schiphol East. The plane was still standing there. So U2 like Ams a lot that's for sure. Maybe they are going early afternoon to Brussels straight into the soundcheck and leaving home immediately after the concert. Or...they went by taxi yesterdayevening. The plain flies without them to Brussels later today.

    Thanks for the info. We took some pix of it on Sunday morning, surpruised they did not go back to Nice.

    Anyway now grading on Eurostar to Brussels for the end off the European circus.

  7. It is far better. In 2015 was amazing sound. Damned good. So we go for it. The next show will be there I guess.

    Perhaps they spent some time here working on the filming they did earlier
  9. Sound in Ziggo is surely better overall, but I can tell you first hand that the sound in the ArenA was also very good in the front aka (mosh) pitt (between main stage and tree/b-stage)
    Because there the sound is louder than the echo
  10. Thank you Joyce, yes in front I liked the sound it was o.k. with me (us). The black curtains on the roof helped a lot I think. Jesus what a show(s). Can't wait till The Ziggo Dome. Next tour we're (Petra and me) going also to Dublin. We have to, maybe their last. She became more fan. And yes...maybe they did some business. At 13.15hr I'm heading home. Let's see if the plane is still there.

    I was about 10-15 meters from tree stage and the sound was okay, but definitely not great... probably the worst of all my U2 shows. But we could hear every sound, instrument, singing clearly... just like the sound was floating around But great show, definitely better than Dublin.
    Definitely will try Ziggo next tour (next year? ).

    What an awsome night it was sunday!!

    just want to share that I thought it is an epic experience to hear/see the JT in its entirety in this way.............mindblowing!!!!

    And of course my biggest wish came thru: A Sort Of Homecoming!!!! beautifully done; tears down my cheeks! really, really happy man right now!

    Off to Brussels in about two hours...
