Because there the sound is louder than the echo
Glad GA was good for you. ..that was my approximate location for London 1 and 2 and the sound was great.

...but in the expensive seats (lower tier level with the mixing desk) it was dreadful, worst in 34 years of U2. The only one that came close was Cologne Zooropa in 1993.

Definitely will try Ziggo next tour (next year? ).
Glad that you were still able to enjoy the show! I don't like the ArenA when I'm too far back (that's why we don't go to the Stones in Amsterdam later this year: then you have to pay over 200 euro's for good sound )

Too bad we didn't meet... I was hoping you would attend the post-show chat...but after I Will Follow I was so hyped/hyper that I forgot to look for you

Next year Ziggo would be totally awesome...but then you must come and see us too

I know...I know... They better sell those tickets with the disclaimer "obstructed sound"...

Can't wait till The Ziggo Dome. Next tour we're (Petra and me) going also to Dublin. We have to, maybe their last. She became more fan. And yes...maybe they did some business. At 13.15hr I'm heading home. Let's see if the plane is still there.
Nice prospects! Glad to hear Petra also enjoyed the shows

Please keep us posted on the plane...good to have a reporter "in the field"

Actually I didn't meet anyone too... we were very thirsty and hungry, so we went right outside to have some treats

Btw. Connexxion was disaster after the show... all overfull busses and stil so many people on the bus stop. And they were pretty expensive (5 euro for one ride )
Metro and tram (or Metrotram as we called it ) was much more comfortable and not so long to get to Amstelveen. Next time we will forget about Connexxion and use just trains and GVB (good and cheaper).
  6. Yes...good point, never mind restricted view.

Joe O'H would have been crying if he had been in those seats !

    Ah...the bus 171 - Popular ride
And it didn't help that there were no trains riding between ArenA and central Station...

Glad you managed to find your way
    (I told you - I think - I'm not a travel agent )

    171 and 300

Usually I don't have problem with public transports in other countries, but to have more companies with different tickets and prices is kinda confusing
Btw. even train from airport is cheaper than Connexxion busses (and Connexxion tickets are not transferable even for another Connexxion busses ) ...
GVB is much easier, cheaper and understandable...

And yeah, thank you for all advices - even if you're not travel agent

    You're welcome!

Good to know that you advise GVB for Amsterdam area
The thing is that (most) locals have just one pass (OV-chip) that can be used for (almost) all public transport.
But it certainly is a problem for the tourists. And therefore causing a lot of problems too, especially in the trams in Amsterdam because most tourist will buy a ticket in the tram (but solution to this is not easy...)
  10. We were sitting in 119, definitely not cheap. Sound was ok, but I think in 2009, I sat also in 119, sound was better but of course not to compare with the Ziggo Dome.
Especially the talking of Bono you can't hardly understand he's saying.

Yeah.. and I definitely recommend 24/48/72 hrs tickets because for example 24hrs you got back in 3 ways. (7,5 24hrs, 2,90 1 hour) (not sure if it's also valid for night busses?)
Hopefully next time will meet some of you (it was really nice in Dublin)

  12. I was glad he wasn't talking so much this time (or at least less than previous shows... in Dublin it was almost annoying and in encores it took all athmosphere down)
