  1. The Whole Rattle and Hum is underrated
    People thought ( and it's been taken as ),it was just a compilation with a couple of new songs
    Well.in General it's not that Great album ( seems Like a "pause within") but it owns Great songs such as Heartland and Hawkmoon
    Helter skelter.yes it's a cover.but boys! Yes it' off the hook

    Before internet existed I had no idea that RAH have had a bad/controversial reception... I loved the album and the movie, and played them both over and over and over.

    It's a musical journey!

    High School Too when it came out.went to the cinema For the first view.i felt Like ...it was just a Concert .a celebration.
    Honestly i didn't recognize is Value at that time.
    But i mean older but wiser.i just reason with feelings.instinct.when you're "Young" then when you grow up you discover all the "angles"

  9. Hawkmoon 269 might be one of their most underrated songs. It's like Acrobat, where most die-hard fans love it, but much less known. Great lyrics, fantastic instrumental, incredible (but scarce) live versions... What a song.

    Rattle And Hum in general features a lot of tracks that maybe are a little under appreciated by myself included. I think that's down to the style of the songs though, they don't really have that sound you'd expect from u2. I really need to be in a certain mood to listen to the likes of God Part II, Hawkmoon 269, love rescue me, silver and gold, all good songs but not ones I regularly put on to playlists. Strangely I tend to listen to the album around xmas time, I don't know if that's to do with a few of the shows coming from that time, particularly the point depot shows, but anyway yeah underrated.

    I never used to like it - in fact, it was one my least favourite U2 songs in my early days as a fan. It was too long and didn't really have a resolution, it just kept stacking song on top of song, and it was a little too rootsy for me...

    As time went on, I liked it more and more - for those exact reasons. It's a very intricate song, so much going on sonically, great lyrics, and by God, the drums! Now I adore it, in large part for the reasons I never used to care for it.

    Then, somehow, in the way these things happen, I just woke up one day, put Rattle and Hum in the car, and I realised: Hawkmoon 269 was my favourite song on the album, and had been for quite a while. I'd just never acknowledged it.
