1. So, first they copied the Invisible video for The Blackout.

Now they copied tbe Ordinary Love lyric video for The Best Thing.

I hope the next step is hiring somebody with at least one fucking new idea for a video instead of ripping off themselves.

  2. I often have a negativity sit with me when hearing new U2 material as i have followed this band all their career. Known some absolute gems of releases and some duff ones too. Thats the flow really isn't it. How can anyone keep a constant in anything creative without dips, peaks, ebbs and flow. Not possible.
I have been guilty of some negative words over the years and think that some fans need to learn to adapt a bit and realise this is a 40 year solid marriage we are looking at. Amazing how they still all exist as the same boys in a band.
That has to be commended surely? It is evident that some songs will not be for everyone and that maybe they are playing safe again and can't afford to take risks now with their status. At least i am positive we will hear well crafted songs that make an album cut. Songs Of Innocence took a while to get revved up and when played live they took on another form again.
I await and see what is offered to us as fans and it is hoped that what we get will show quality and time well spent for our enjoyment. It is for us that they are doing this. They really do not have to do anything at all now, but they do. I for one am grateful that this band want to still be a band. Lets give them the chance anyone deserves who offers up a creative perspective.

Again, what are you doing on this message board? Been reading here for 10 years and haven't seen so much negativity before.

I love your continued use of this video.
  4. Ok. Anyone else agree The Blackout should be the lead single? (over this outtake track)

But there is still that video shot in the Amsterdam Arena?
  6. The ending is a bit too abrupt for my taste.

"Hey guys we need to make this into a single version. Let's just cut it.. here!"

I hope the next thing they do is persuade Paul McGuinness to come back and take over management again... Seriously.
  8. Move on
  9. I think it should've been used only on the grounds that The Best Thing clearly needs some more time at the mixing desk and was definitely NOT ready.
