  3. I tried to rank some of U2's "pre-album songs" from TJT until now. I did it last week when we heard The Blackout, and I try it again now: ..............

    With Or Without You (10/10)
    Discotheque (9.5/10)
    Electrical Storm (9.5/10)
    The Little Things That give You Away (9/10)
    No Line on the Horizon (wasn't really the first single, but it "leaked" early....8.5/10)
    You're The Best Thing About Me (8.5/10)

    Desire (8/10)
    The Blackout (7.5/10)
    The Miracle (6/10)
    Vertigo( 6/10)
    Beautiful Day (4/10)

    Get On Your Boots (1/10)

    (So.... looking at these 3 new songs, (9, 8.5 and 7.5) I'm looking forward to SOE now more than ever!)

    In my mind a good song has to evoke an emotional response when I hear it. By that benchmark I think the three songs that we've gotten from SOE thus far are good songs.

  11. this song is fucking amazing... way way waaaaay better than Blackout... I love the lyrics, I love the vibe.... It brings me joy, I imagine myself on a beautiful beach listening to this out loud watching people on the sea and laughting while I'm lying in the sand... My brain is going crazy... I really love this song

    Songs can make you feel sad, excited, upset, etc. I think the worst thing a song can do is make you want to turn it off.
