1. Could have been for the Kygo mix...

Unlike many others here I think that the celaner guitar sound suits the song much better than the heavier one on the studio version. There is one thing I am curious about though - in the part that The Edge sings I can clearly hear 2 voices and Bono obviously doesn't sing there. Is there a pre-recorded vocal in the background? Or si there another singer "under the stage"? It doesn't sound as an effect added to The Edge's voice, it really sounds like 2 voices to me.

There will be vocal effects and some pre recorded bits. Certainly not another singer

They're openly stating the song is about Bono's wife, Ali.
Yet they're using the image of Edge's daughter, Sian, to promote it.

Maybe because Ali is already on the cover of SFS?

To me it sounds like the recorded voice of Edge that we hear on the single release, mixed with his live voice. He sings it higer on the single than live.

  5. Music videos usually come a bit after the single release. Lyric videos usually accompany the single the day it is released.
  6. Aslan cover , Rise Above for the musical Spiderman and the version of Kygo are better songs than the last single, really a crap, the one version at Fallon is like a song of One Direction or Coldplay. Worst song ever with Miami and Boots. I'm sorry, imo. Hope the album will be the opposite, 10 or 11 songs more but rock not pop by a boyband, i'm pissed off with my love band at the moment.
  7. What the hell boy bands are you people listening to that sound like this new U2 song? Male band singing pop song does not = boy band. Listen to some music before you start making comparisons. U2 have been writing Pop songs forever, Pop has just sounded different across eras and this is U2 getting as close to mainstream pop as it sounds now as they possibly can.

The reality for me is that is if I heard this song on the radio and it wasn't U2 I would switch over or turn it off..
  9. How can you say that? Because every song U2 has put out, has something significantly U2 about it. So your assumption that if another artist made this tune you would not listen to it, is hard to imagine, because the whole song would be different.

It's because it is a piss poor song
