  2. Hilarious ! Love Kermode's film reviews and he hates U2...although got on well with Bono when they met a few years ago.

  4. I give my judgment after listening to the complete SOE on 1 December.
    Normally the cohesion of the U2 songs on a U2 record is for me their strongest point. Only Little things I have listened more often on the live recordings. I think this is a great song.
  5. Let's go ahead and start judging Songs of Ascent while we're at it.
  6. While I'm still not going to fully judge until I can listen to full album through, what is out is growing on me...

    But as far as coheseivness, I've learned that GOOYOW segues into American Soul so proper listening says you should listen to them in that order. I think the album will be more understood and flow once we have all listened straight through...

    O.K. not all true but I can say Morrissey is a some strange person but they had some good songs. But yes "Meat is Murder" and "The Queen Is Dead" are some strange titles for an album. But I can say: "There is a light that never goes out" for U2
  8. I haven't seen too many comments about the Kendrick feature. How do you guys feel about it? Like it? Love it? Hate it?

    Personally I'm not a huge fan, only because I've never been big on other artists showing up on each other's work, unless it's some kind of one-off song or whatever. It takes me out of it.

    Kendrick shouldn’t be during the songs. He should be between them.

    i like it, feels fresh and U2 doing something different.
