  1. Hardly what? Way to intelligently respond to my response to your post that’s so quick to judge those of us who want to hear this as soon as we can.

    Double standards? They don’t share links nor do they allow them to be shared for obvious legal reasons. Otherwise, it’s a site based on bootlegs and fan appreciation. Of course we’d all be happy to hear an album leak lol.

    I understand the stance it’s either a dig at this site or a moan for the sake of moaning.
  6. My point is that this site usually has a high level of integrity.
    But I find in this case that with the upcoming release of the new album that perhaps the posts regarding the Facebook stream of the album could and perhaps should have been deleted.
    Therefore, in my opinion, the site has dropped the ball a little in regard to this.
    I understand everyone's want to hear the new music as soon as they can.
    Just my opinion regarding this particular moment in time

    And I have to say I am rather disappointed that the moderaters of U2start haven't made an effort to delete any posts that have encouraged users to hear the leak of an official release. And then to be part of the discussion about songs heard.
    I know some users will find this post as some sort of sour grapes and that is not the case, I believe there should a level of respect for the band we all love.


    Well, I am definitely buying the official release hence why I said it couldn't come sooner.

    From what I've read so far, most people who have heard the leak have pre-ordered the album or are buying it anyway, and those on the fence are now buying it because the album is better than they expected.

    I still don’t understand how listening to an album leak and still buying the album equates to a lack of integrity, but whatever.

    I don’t think there stance here calls into question there integrity. I don’t see why we can’t discuss something that’s already out there. I understand what you’re trying to say its effectively a moral stance but we’re talking about unreleased music here not life or death so if it gets leaked and we want to talk about it big deal.
  11. That isn’t the point though. I feel like he has a very valid argument. It should be like a review embargo. If it is leaked it can’t be discussed until the 1st.

    Why? You’re effectively taking away our freedom of speech by doing that. If anything they could maybe put a spoiler tag up but that would be the limit of it for me.
