1. Used a VPN for the RTE edition.
Set to Ireland then I downloaded the show.
Btw U2 Uruguay Twitter is a good site??
  2. EBW is amazing!
  3. Stuck sounds great too
  4. How could you download? What was your tool chain? Are you a subscriber? What quality did you get?
  5. Don’t base it on the performances from 2014, i.e. jools Holland and Glasgow MTV EMA’s as they were great but this was good and much better than some of the lazy IE performances. Decline is a bit far!!!!

The BBC just didn’t do it for me compared to the ones that Peterrr posted.... I get the some IE performances sure, but we are comparing it to the 2014 ones.... And they have way more punch than this Best Thing, Own Way... stuff...
  7. Watched the BBC 'special edition' this morning. In brief:

    - Loved the song performances.Beautifully shot,no hyperactive Hamish Hamilton-esque cuts, excellent sound mix.Lovely to note how visibly starstruck the choir and orchestral musicians were, they were clearly thrilled to be part of it!
    - A full length 'U2 on tour' documentary would be fascinating.I'd have loved to see more of the Sao Paulo footage, since we rarely get those kinds of insights into the band's life on tour.(Was that Matthew McConoughey at the post-show gathering?)
    - It's nice to see the band so comfortable in Cat Deeley's company, but I had to skip through the interview segments. She came across as a fan who couldn't believe her luck in being chosen to front the show, but it was all very gushy and excessively enthusiastic, lacking any real insights.(Understandable though if the show's intended for a general primetime audience.)I thought she was ok in the Sao Paulo stuff, but the studio interviews were just a little awkward for me!
