Looks like 2017 will be a busy one for the band - make sure you stay tuned over the next few weeks.

For now we wanted to let you know that in the early part of the New Year, in line with the start of the subscription renewal cycle, we’ll be revealing the special gift that comes with our 2017 subscription package

cannot belive u2.com support is unaware of a musical surprise, which they announced via email - WE ARE WORKING ON A MUSICAL SURPRISE BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR!!!!! what a joke.

it doesn't surprise me, it doesn't bother me. It will come sooner or later. It's a gift and I'm glad it's a nice gift. I got my (JT) tickets, that's what I subscribed for. Paying 25 euro's on customs for a gift is another thing though, that's just ridiculous.

Correct. My accounts were running October and December and then got extended both to Dec 31, and then again to Jan 31 that one year where they just weren't able to announce any gift at all so nobody resubscribed, there was also no tour in sight so they had to do something to keep the people. Luckyily for people like me that meant I never had to resubscribe forced to get a presale code or whatever. Some people already have their accounts running until 2021 or so, because of these forces.

If it was I’m disappointed. It said for resubscribers though so you’d think that would mean only people who resubscribed from when the announcement was made but it seems every subscriber has access to the video.
