1. OK so I was watching the "Making Of..." portion of the "Live From Boston" DVD last night and at around 13:57 Edge throws down his guitar and kicks it. In the shot from under the stage it appears to catch Dallas Schoo off guard too. Then at 14:09 Edge has some "intense" words for Larry.

The narrator said the show didn't go over well but I was just curious if anyone was there that could give some insight into what happened to make the most unflappable member of the band have a meltdown.

    Cheers!
    Bret

(Oh, and I don't even want to talk about the fact that it was his Rickenbacker he threw to the ground. )
  2. Alright, so I did so homework on U2gigs.com and it was at the end of "Gone" the he slams the guitar. I guess I'll download the show and give it a listen.
  3. I was not there, but I heard that it was because he thought that somebody (Larry posibly) ruined Gone's performance.
  4. I heard that Edge had dropped his pic and Larry continued the outtro for a little too long causing Edge quite a bit of discomfort.
  5. If I remember right, Larry ends the song sooner than what Edge was planning to do...so the Edge feels, as he said it, that they "murdered the song"...and just goes mad...perfectionists
  6. Edge went nuts cos larry finished the song gone early by mistake . the clip is on youtube and the comment tells the story . ill try to find it cant remember what it was under
  7. a harsh reaction for ending the song a little early. I though the outtro on Gone was always too long anyway. Good on ye Larry

Yeah that's what I'd heard, that Larry tried to finish midway through Edge's solo bit and he wasn't best pleased to say the least lol...
  10. For an added bit of trivia, Bono can be heard saying "Hutch" at the start of Gone in tribute to the late Michael Hutchence.

backed up by the fact that the outtro sounds perfect (too long if anything)
