1. Save even more money and drink at home. Two reasons I'm not seeing this tour:
    1. SOE heavy setlist is going to happen, and I think the album is a stinker
    2. I assume this will basically be the same show as I&E tour (same stage, same approach to setlist, same general concept)...and don't feel the need to spend $300 to see that
  2. If we’re about right then you’ll maybe need to try the bar before the show and see if that makes the songs you don’t like sound any better lol. I can’t remember boots or I’ll go crazy sounding better than after a few Belgian beers in Brussels 2010. Didn’t sound so good when I listened back to the bootleg though and it was nothing to do with the recordings.
  3. Nothing can make that album sound better
  4. for me they could play the SOE album as a whole great album, only 2 or 3 songs of 80s era and the rest of the songs of 90 and 00's era and will be a perfect setlist

Yeah, it blurs your vision significantly. I was a few Duvels down, then subsequently Grolsch, in Amsterdam and my memory of the show is pretty limited.

YES. I swear even Sweetest Thing sounded almost good after 6 or 7 pints in 2015.
  7. I would love a SOE heavy set. Just play the whole album
  8. That would be great. But I agree with robotsandmonkeys that it will probably be the same show as the I&E tour. Because It's a continuation of that tour. This tour will not be a 360 or Vertigo Tour. It will include the same approach as I+E and I'm still certain they will play at least 5 SOI songs. They probably will even play Invisible. They likely will play half of SOE, and the rest of the setlist will be the often played Greatest Hits. Maybe an exception for a rare POP or War song, but they will all be dropped before the tour arrives in Europe. My bet is that they will play 18 I+E staples this tour every night. More information in the
"Which regular I+E tour songs will U2 play at the E+I tour?" staples! topic.
  9. If they do play 5 SOI songs alongside 7 or 8 SOE songs then that would have to be considered one of the most adventurous they’ve played since the end of zoo tv where they still featured a high number of Achtung baby songs and Zooropa. Even more adventurous because SOI is yet to produce a single even close to the popularity of any of the Achtung baby ones that featured every night. Would love it to happen but can’t see it.
  10. My bet is that SOI's representation will be binary.

    0 or 1 songs.

Yes and no. It is adventurous indeed. But it is not adventurous because most fans know the I+E tour very well. It's not that long ago. To play the same songs is a safe approach.
