but not regularly. There were only 4 or 5 slots in the setlist for that era, 3 of which were always filled with 'I will Follow', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' and 'Pride'.

Some nights there was as many as 7, in Glasgow they played Gloria, bad, 40, October and the 3 you mentioned. Add to that bullet, Streets, WOWY, desire and angel Of Harlem and you’ve got 12 from the one decade. The show was definitely 80’s heavy compared to other decades, obviously excluding the songs from the album they were touring. I think this tour should be 90’s heavy, with a hint of early 00’s.

now you're making a different distinction; it was about Innocence & Experience, not about 80's vs 90's. All recent tours did have more 80's songs than 90's.

Yeah that is two different distinctions to be fair. I guess I’m having a seperate debate whilst using your comment to respond to lol. But the reason I do so is because I think it is certain early ones that will miss out and later stuff taking it’s place and I think it will be tied into the theme, there will still be a good few of the old classics to tie in with it all and that’s where I guess Innocence and experience doesn’t really matter because Streets,WOWY, one, pride aren’t getting played because of the theme they’re getting played because they’re fan favourites. To put it simply I’m agreeing with your original comment to some extent but I do think the titles experience and innocence do have at least some influence on what songs they’ll play.

maybe, but we have to wait and see. The Innocence influence on the setlist was minimal, there were no obscure old songs played, only occasional. Maybe October which got a regular slot was one of them, but at almost the same time they also added an obscure Experience song like Zooropa.

Yeah that would be nice for sure, but I don't think we'll ever get GnR / Springsteen length gigs. Even going back to the Elevation tour rehearsals Bono said how much it takes out of him and they were barely 60 minutes into a rehearsal runthrough.

Gotta remember he really invests himself in songs when performing, I'm certainly not saying Bruce or Axl or anyone else doesn't, but I think Bono *really* lives the songs when performing, where others might just go into autopilot mode. So there are stamina issues there and probably with the other guys too and they're not getting any younger either, plus recent health issues. I think Bruce and GnR and any others who perform for that kind of length of time per night are generally the exception to the rule and are special cases. Plus to be honest whilst I would happily lap up a four hour show, I do have to admit that sometimes, I can be at a gig and its near the 2/2.5 hr mark I can be itching for it to wind-up.

However, I do agree that they need to mix things up, stop being a slave to the tech and the concept of the show. The concept was great for I+E and made complete sense and undoubtedly there will be some sort of concept setup for E+I, but I hope its a bit less rigid and I hope they return to the looser U2 we witnessed during the 360 / Vertigo tours where they mixed things up more, tried some stuff out and had a bit more fun.
  7. I've come here to see what they're rehearsing. All I see is speculation.

A ) Any chance of split threads?

B ) What has been rehearsed that we know of?

3 weeks prior to the tour is when they usually do full on rehearsals so probably just dusting off their instruments at the moment,Wild horses and GOYOW have so far been teased.
  9. And there is a rumour that they have been playing around with War and Pop songs.
  10. I heard that.

    Those two go well, together.
  11. less than 48 hours to april fools day - there will be all sorts of false nonsense spouted on twitter, facebook, etc. don't fall for it.
