It's so exiting! That for me must be Drowning man
  2. That would be a bit disappointing if it gets rehearsed again and doesn’t get played at even one show. I could see them rehearsing something from the 00’s that ends up not making it, maybe something like when I look at the world or peace on Earth. I also think we could get a surprise from that era that does make the cut.

    For me: Drowning Man

For 90% of the fans here: Acrobat
  4. Yeah i know it's a bit disappointing if it won't get played. They rehearsed it for 360 tour and did not get on set list. Smart way to leak some info though..........

I didn't say they didn't play old songs, but October was the only one to get regular plays, the total amount of shows that NYD (not totally unexpected), When Love, Party Girl, etc we played weren't enough to say they were brought back, they played them 2 or 3 times and not again, they were 1 offs for a couple shows (and I maintain they wouldn't have played When Love if BB hadn't died)

So it only really happened if you saw 'em do it? Right.... got that.

I've got a spare 1.5 million dollars, if you want to give me your bank account details, sucker.

No I'm saying it's a stretch to say they were "brought back" they were just one offs.. . Is that so hard to understand??
  7. It's hard to understand why you think that when the band played the songs for the first time in decades - and in at least two cases the last time they played them you weren't even alive - that they didn't "bring them back", but I guess that's your lookout.
  8. You guys can keep arguing semantics all you want, but my two cents in this pissing match would be that you can't argue they brought songs back "for the tour" if they only made one appearance.

They didn't "bring back" Love is Blindness on the Vertigo Tour, they just happened to play the song at a show.

Just as they didn't bring back Zoo Station on the I&E Tour, it made an appearance in Berlin.

Zoo Station was "brought back" for the Vertigo Tour (appeared in more than half of the shows, was a staple, for a given time frame you could expect to hear it on any given night).

Only one of the two sentences below makes sense:

"Did you see the U2 tour in '09? It was crazy to see Ultraviolet brought back"

"Did you see U2 in 2015? Loved that they shook the dust off Zoo Station"

You're talking to about 20,000 people in one group; an estimated several-million in the other.

    But again, semantics. Enjoy!
  9. So if anyone's keeping score, I guess you can tally one up for WideAwake as far as I'm concerned.
  10. So I imagined the times they played When Love Comes To Town? Two Hearts? Party Girl? Zoo Station? Magnificent? Satellite of Love? October? People Have The Power? Miracle Drug? Gloria? Sweetest Thing?

Clearly you forgot it was quite exciting to exhume songs that had been unplayed in 15+ years. Suit yourself.
