Things I do like: that whole segment from Wild Horses to HMTM will be THE best part of the show. Just amazing.
Totally agreed with your second paragraph! So looking forward to that segment!

As for the first paragraph, well we know the hits need to be there - I’m happy they’re doing acrobat, wild horses, hold me, an cat dubh and staring at the sun; so won’t complain about the regular hits showing up too.

I’m HOPING they don’t need much rehearsal for little things or the fly, and are keeping them as rotational songs. Can see Little Things replace 13 as closer sometimes and The Fly replace Hold Me every once in a while.
  2. ‪From looking at that running Order I hope it’s not the actual set list. While there are still a few little gems in there there’s not enough deep cuts in there. It still feels like a hit heavy set list. And where is “Streets”?

I’ve even more surprised to see the absense of Love Is Bigger Than Anything In It’s Way

    It’s there, towards the end.
And I consider hold me, wild horses, acrobat, staring at the sun and an cat dubh as deep cuts considering the last few tours. Good enough I’d say - more than what we got for I&E, isn’t it?
  4. What I am surprised about is Summer of Love and Red Flag Day missing - also a bit for the Labdlady.
  5. Summer of Love is a Syria thing. So...they have to put some politics in there. And...it's a hit in Europe (Holland) In october we'll see what it bring us.
  6. Addition: they also played The Ocean in full yesterday!
  7. Desire and the showman

There's always ppl who'll moan about songs they play you can't please everyone they haven't played a gig yet so ppl should hold off and wait this is early stages of rehearsals it can all change dramatically in the days before the tour .Usually the band rehearse up to 50 songs for a tour and this will be no different.
  9. Another angle I’m looking at is they’re not rehearsing certain songs from the new album that are better than others. I know it’s subjective but even going by polls etc landlady, summer Of Love and red Flag Day are preferred to showman, American soul and best Thing. I can understand the band with American soul and best Thing because one was a single and one is going to be important for certain messages the band want to get across but even just having red Flag day instead of showman would be a better shout. I’ve said myself they can’t please everyone but it’s not like we’re asking them to drop a hit, it’s a fairly lesser known song in showman for a better lesser known song in red Flag Day. Anyway early days yet, sounds like a rant but I’m not unhappy with the Setlist just an isolated point and i don’t dislike the trio of Best Thing, American soul and showman just prefer the other trio.
  10. I'm not unhappy with the setlist either, it's fantastic for the most part. If this was the set to stay throughout the tour I'd be overjoyed to be seeing so many songs I haven't seen before (I'm 29 so I didn't get the chance to see them around TJT and Zoo TV, first time was 360) which is awesome.

Put it this way; I've had tears in my eyes every time I've heard them play Streets. I'll certainly be misty eyed if they don't play it this tour! Beautiful Day is the ultimate crowd-pleaser so I totally get it always being there since 2000. Elevation though, that should really be an 'up-tempo early 00s' track rotated with Vertigo, they've shown they don't need to be in every show.

Also, rotate HMTMKMKM with The Fly.
