Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. for the jt 2017 there are some audio from rehearsal..this year only one minute from acrobat
  2. To this setlist:

I'm fine with dropping TJT completely, they already hinted at it. Though not only us but also Edge will miss his fave riff. They have been playing these tracks for THIRTY years now - I'm fine if they need a break. We hear these tracks 3-5 times a tour, some less. They PLAY IT EVERY NIGHT- I do understand them.

Following its place in the innocence storyline, I'm confused they keep UTEOTW. And tbh, for me - they can drop it.
They can even drop BD, Vertigo, Pride - I'm fine with that too. And let's be honest - with these ticket prices, it's only the die hards left at the shows, so they do not need casual setlists actually.
Taking Vertigo in might have something to do with a sound-fitting sequence into The Showman.
An interesting early spot for BD, though.

Acrobat fits the theme perfectly. If it survives the rehearsals, I really think, it will survive the whole tour, which would be amazing.
Staring at the sun (acoustic) might turn into a rotational song with something else (but please, no EBW on piano). But for heaven's sake - KEEP IT!!
I hope they keep Batman in there.

Good thing is they are scattering the SOE tracks throughout the complete show and not squeezing them tightly to each other like last time. Gives a lot more room to enjoy for people like me, who don't like SOE.
  3. It makes sense to place either Beatufiul Day or Get Out Of Your Way early and the other one late in the set, as there are some obvious similarities (nothing bad about that).

The Ocean and maye a longer snippet of "Into The Heart" are a really good introduction to Cedarwood Road, imo.

I bet Streets and of course The Little Things That Give you away will be added as well.

As for Streets - this might be the only must-have I can think of. No first-timer should leave a U2 concert without having experienced the best live song ever (by any band on earth).
  4. It's too early to assume it's the final setlist. The start of the tour is two full weeks ahead yet. They can be playing with a basic skeleton

On the other hand, on JT30 they sticked to the same setlist thought all the rehearsals. But they needed to play all of JT in sequence, so they didn't have that much of space to work with
  5. I might be wrong but stadium vs arena, if they’re rehearsing loud enough I could stand outside a stadium and record (not to a great standard I should add) but in an arena you need to gain access. And who knows more clips could surface yet.

This isn't a setlist they haven't played a concert yet this is a loose rehearsal many songs will be added and dropped in the next 2 weeks
  7. Probably in the next few days we’ll see songs come and go, although I stand by my previous comment that we’ve got 85-90% of the Setlist in front of us now. Maybe not precise order but in terms of song choice. I reckon at most 3 or 4 songs will differ on opening night to what they ran through yesterday. This wasn’t just random songs played on there own but as part of what looks like a thought out Setlist. The fun will start when we find out what the rotational slots will be.
  8. I'll miss streets, but I'm absolutely stoked they're dropping all of JT. so many war horses gone, so much more room for other songs!

that being said, I'd also not mind pride to go, beautiful day, elevation and vertigo. (though I think they like to use the latter two in case they can't get the crowd going)

missing red flag day, the rest I'm so, so excited about.

predicted LIAWHL over PA into blackout months ago hope that'll be the intro indeed.

    is it august yet?

Yeah, LIAWHL is a good one. But i rather have a song that really gets everybody's energy up. We will see.....
  10. Will be strange seeing U2 if they don't play anything from JT, specially a song like Streets. But i can understand why they'll drop the, from the setlists seeing some of those songs have been a staple for over 30 years now.

    Roll on next month!
  11. LIAWHL takes only 2.30 min all from PA. You will Bono hear singing somewhere and arrives on stage so the crowd is moving and jumping soon when The Blackout starts.
