Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. Has it actually been confirmed that all JT songs including Streets are dropped? What is this based on?
  2. No confirmation, but no one has heard them rehearse any JT songs, as of yet anyway.
  3. Plus I think Edge said in an interview they might give it a rest this tour because they did a big tour last year for it so don't wanna burn it out. Even though I personally think streets and WOWY should never be dropped. ISHFWILF however is a different story
  4. TTYW definitely needs retiring
  5. I didn't like the 2017 version too much
  6. It will be, only reappeared after 30 years because of the tour... think it’s a given that it will be ‘retired’. All the usual JT songs need to be given a miss, even Streets- now that would be a bold move.
  7. I have said it before, Streets was going to be dropped for the Vertigo tour. It was Willie Williams that convinced Bono to change his mind by coming up with the "Flags" approach on the screen during rehearsals. Then they made comments after Vertigo where they indicated it would always be played. My "guess" is that either it gets added and/or is already planned, they just haven't rehearsed it yet as there is no need. But I would not be completely shocked either if it is not played.

Personally I think it should be played at every show. It is the only U2 song I feel that way about. I think of the fan going to see them for the first time ever, no Streets. Kind of a bummer for them. Plus it is my favorite U2 song, so I guess I am a tad bias.

So if LIBTAIIW is a semitone down to Pride in its current form, Pride in its original form is almost an octave higher sung by Bono?
I find that hard to believe or my musical knowledge needs a check-up ;-)

I didn't say that and I'm not doubting your musical knowledge I'm completely self taught on my instrument and just learn by ear so I'm in no way an expert. I was referring to the song difficulty, I thought that even though it's in the same key, Love is Bigger is a tad easier to sing because the top note Bono hits is lower than the current (live) chorus of Pride? I could be talking rubbish, mind.

On topic: a good pal of mine's favourite song is HMTMKMKM and he isn't one to check setlists, he's never seen the band live and god I hope it sticks around just so I can see the reaction on his face.
