Well, we said that 40 was bound to happen in the JT tour, given it was focused on the 80's. Then the dates passed by and people said that 40 surely had to close the tour, as in the original JT tour... then it never happened.
  2. 40 should be the only song to never leave the setlist

Bad and 40 closing a show is dreamy. Must have been so epic!
  4. Yep and first show in Belfast for 19 years , Bono wrapped in the French tri-colour , special moments , will never forget .
  5. umm where is the little things that give you away in these rehearsals?? heard it in both vancouver and seattle last tour and it was the best song for both nights

I'm quite sure it will show up in the final setlist, just like streets.
  7. I can see them doing The Little Things as a 'special' song, one that'll show up at certain shows when the mood is right or what have you. Along with Exit, it was the clear highlight of the night in Boston last summer. Such a gorgeous song...
  8. I hope they leave out all the 80’s. Play 92-2017 songs!!!!

    Kite/SYCMIOYO (loss)
    Vertigo/Elevation (big 00s single)
    Discotheque/HMTMKMKM (90s banger)
    Stay/SATS (acoustic fan favourite)
    The Fly/UTEOTW (Zoo TV classic)
SFS/13 (yeah...these shouldn't both be in one show)

I keep going on about it but...the lack of Streets is massive, more than any other 'classic' they have. This show needs an 'uplifting' moment which just isn't there right now.

I've always wished that U2 would design stylists this way. Rotate ALL the warhorse that will be played, except Streets (which should be played every night). If they want more, rotate One/WOWY, maybe BD/COBL, or Pride/NYD (although it's 50 years since MLK's death, so I'm sure that's why it's looking like a staple this time).

There are enough warhorses, that even with rotations, there will be enough in the set to keep the casuals happy. While us crazies would enjoy a more varied setlist. A little more work for the band, though not much. More lyrics (which should be familiar) for Bono to remember

    - Huh. Donald Trump bombed Syria.
    - Guys, we have a new song that explicitly has Aleppo in its lyrics
    - Hey, we also have a song about refugees in the sea
    - Oh! I know, let's play SBS in its shittiest arrangement AGAIN
    - High five!

You guys crack me up. My vote goes to Elevation!
