    California is more fun Matthew.

    - I wasnt able to see any SOI shows in 2015 so if the band are potentially regurgitating certain chunks of that tour again this year, win win for me lol

Point 1 is fair but didn't they do the same last year during rehearsals in Vancouver, I'm pretty sure there was talk of the PA being potentially turned down and we still got the shows set-list which stuck for the whole tour
  3. And ten times better as well, but it is really the tour to give SOE songs a go so I can accept showman, I guess if people don’t like the song they’re not going to want to hear it regardless of the circumstances but the fact it’s part of a big SOE presence in the Setlist should be applauded. I do think they’re leaving 4 of the best SOE tracks out of the Setlist though.

Yeah i'm pretty happy about the choice of SOE songs to represent the album. Best Thing and Get Out are a given and I love both. Love is Bigger and the Blackout are solid choices.

Where I get a little puzzled is why they are going with 13 as well as Song For Someone in the same night, do they have a message or a visual moment planned for 13?

I still think they're missing a trick not bringing Red Flag Day and Summer of Love into the set, they're both big political tunes and could work very well into this apparent set that they're running through

And it's disappointing to not see Little Things either, my favourite track from SOE

if anything, it would be interesting for the ending song to be rotational, little things or 13
  6. Yeah i'd take that, any kind of rotation at this stage would be refreshing to see. Especially as i'll be up late here in the UK listening to these shows. Don't want to be put to sleep by show 2
  7. It’s possible the first rotation won’t come til show 4 given the first 3 shows are in different locations. Although there is always the aspect of finding out what works etc so that could play into things too.

    Agreed
  9. There is a few months that I didn't write anything here, but i'm read almost all the news / soundchecks posted here... but I have to say... I really like what they're doing at rehearsals... and I really want Acrobat, like almost everyone here
  10. Based on last rehearsal... I just do some little changes...

Unknown Pre-Recorded Song (Possibly with Bono vocals)
Pre-Recorded Version of “Love is All We Have Left”
    “The Blackout”
    “Lights of Home”
    “Beautiful Day”
    “I Will Follow”
    “The Ocean”
    “Iris”
    “Cedarwood Road”
    “Song for Someone”
    “Sunday Bloody Sunday”
    “Raised by Wolves”
“Until the End of the World”
“Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me”
    “Elevation”
    “Desire”
    “The Showman (Little More Better)”
    “Vertigo”
    “Acrobat”
“You’re the Best Thing About Me”
    “Staring at the Sun”
“Pride (In the Name of Love)”
“Get Out of Your Own Way”
    “American Soul”
    “City of Blinding Lights”
    “One”
“Love is Bigger Than Anything in its Way”
    “13 (There is a Light)”

I just drop I will follow, maybe change by something like the version of Mofo 2005 at rehearsals... would drop Sunday Bloody Sunday by Wild Horses, and also not see as necessary to play Song For Someone and 13 at same concert
  11. I haven't said much about any of these rehearsals (mainly since I'm not planning to attend any of the shows) but if these are indeed the setlists they are planning, they will not last. They couldn't even stand a relatively "flat" reaction to "A Sort of Homecoming" last year! There's too many "non-hits" for this to work.

(Prove me wrong, U2. Prove me wrong).

Also u2songs mention they’ve been rehearsing with the PA off and it makes me think that wild horses and acrobat could still be in the mix. Why would they rehearse any song with the PA off unless they wanted it to be a surprise. Maybe not though but it seems like a reasonable line of thought whilst I know it could still be wide of the mark.

This is pleasing to read, I hope they have some surprises that will blow us away come show night. It's our own fault for following the rehearsals but I hope come show night we won't already have the setlist in front of us
