  1. The setlist does offer some interesting choices: Acrobat, ABOY, HMTMKMKM, influx remix of Elevation, now -the incredible in 2015- Gloria! I hope Acrobat earns a permanent spot in the setlist. Maybe Wild Horses will also come back. And U2 can make pretty much anything work live, so, for the fans who are just not into The Showman, I dunno...they could play it as an electric - full band version and it might be pretty good. Also, from what we could hear, Iris will be played in a new, different way. Add to the setlist: the visuals & the whole AR stuff, the final show product could be awesome.
    Finally, TLTTGYA & WTSHNN would be awesome to close the show. First, Streets & then Little Things.

  6. Very true! I just meant the part about One ending the main set being “paint by numbers”.

    I’ve seen a famous Canadian band Our Lady Peace four times over the years and I’m fairly certain their encore has always been the same. I guess they like it that way. If U2 thinks One is a good main set ender they may want to keep it that way... if they chose to end every show with 40 people wouldn’t be complaining.

  11. surprised seeing Acrobat again, still disappointed by repeating the complete sequence of i+e tour. It's still the same songs - no matter if they "remix" them.
    They pretty much know that at least 75% of the audience have seen the 2015 shows.

    I wouldn't mind if they throw out vertigo and replace it with ABOY - it would be something new. I don't like the fact both Elevation and Vertigo are in and very close to each other. Swap them with each other radomly.

    By any means, I knew these concerts gonna be "hard" for me, as I actually don't wanna hear SOE songs, but to ALSO get the same a bit lame sequence (except Cedarwood Road, that song is really ok) from SOI....meh. I also wouldn't miss UTEOTW.

    OK, I try to see the positive things I can enjoy:
    - no WOWY (I'm finally sick of it, heard it way too often everywhere and I NEVER got shine like stars live - mind you, Bono's most used "snippet", almost every show! been to 7 on i+e and none got it)
    - no Mysterious Ways
    - I get a Pop song
    - Batman (fearing this might be the Intermission)
    - Desire (though I'm not aware of an electric version)
    - maybe we get Acrobat - but the EU leg is, counted in U2 terms, like 47 setlist changes away
    - I like IWF, Gloria and can live with BD, One and yes, I love COBL
    - I take Pride, though I wouldn't mind them ditching it
    - I like the Bomb, so I'm quite happy about almost any Bomb song that pops up, haven't seen U2 gigs between 1997-2010

    I hate the fact, not knowing what's gonna happen at my concerts, as Berlin is the EU start:

    they already ditched Wild Horses and The Fly, I still feel like they will ditch Acrobat for good and my fear is, Staring at the sun won't make it over the Atlantic.
    The only song on SOI I hoped for hearing it live - was ditched after 2 plays. I never had a chance for Miracle Drug - it was also ditched after 2 plays.
    Last time we didn't even get Stay - in Berlin. With Wim Wenders in the audience!

    Still not much left *for me* on this year's tour. Sigh. But it's U2 and it might be one of their last 2 tours (Live Nation contract ends in 2020, looking at their age and "working periods" - we waited 5 years and 6 months for SOI - there's not much left), so I go and see them.

    (and still, SFS AND 13 in the same setlist ---- wtf?!)
