Quite looking forward to this section tbf. All strong songs from SOI, and then of course SBS which maybe could have done with being a rotation slot instead but hey ho

mmm, let's see foo fighters play new songs, arcade fire certainly play new songs, stereophonics, manic street preachers, definitely paul weller whose last few albums certainly don't conform to 1977-1985 expectations. Maybe we could go back to bands from around u2's age who are still touring and who I seem to remember were regarded as hiding behind their haircuts according to mr hewson? OMD have put out a couple of albums in recent years and played them live and played the whole of 'dazzle ships' (a serious contender for the least accessible album made by anyone in follow up to big hits) to the royal albert hall. Maybe you don't want to count the pop stars though? Or we could also count duran duran

Duran Duran –Live At The Budokan 2017
    01. Opening
    02. Paper Gods
    03. The Wild Boys
    04. I Dont Want Your Love
    05. A View to a Kill
    06. Come Undone
    07. Last Night in the City
    08. Only In Dreams
    09. Love Voodoo
    10. Happy Birthday Nile Rodgers
    11. Notorious (with Nile Rodgers)
    12. Pressure Off (with Nile Rodgers)
    13. Hold Back the Rain
    14. Face For Today
    15. Ordinary World
    16. (Reach Up For the) Sunrise / New Moon On Monday
    17. Hungry Like the Wolf
    18. White Lines (Dont Do It)
    19. Girls On Film (Segue Edit)
    20. The Universe Alone [encore]
    21. Save A Prayer [encore]
    22. Rio [encore]

greatest hits? 7 new songs and an album track and not relying on special effects. Oh and by the way the stones do a fan vote slot every night and have been known to throw in songs from 40 plus years ago they never played before.
  9. I think it’s a decent set list until “the encore.” That has to be the weakest closing of all time for U2. After Staring at the Sun it will be pretty easy to head to the parking lot.
  10. I quite like 13 ending it... nice slow tempo moody end. I think the set is fine but it hasn’t got the same vibe as IE... bullet ripping in after EBW, zooropa to Streets, wolves to end of the world.
  11. It's a medley with Everything In Its Right Place from Radiohead.
  12. Ok, now I'll start to panic if you excuse me.
