Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. if only, finishing with COBL then waiting for the band, everything goes red
  2. Not surprising, of course happy with Acrobat, but not the best songs of SOE, Little things, Red Flag and BOYH is very disapointing. 13 as closer does not work.
  3. This might actually be quite good

    +1
  5. so lets review the new songs

Love Is All We Have Left
    - pre recorded or just PA, for the video augmented reality thing. Think it could have been done live similar the the Joey Ramone 'oh oh oh' from the last tour with Bono joining the band at the end.

    Lights of Home
    - full band live in set

You're the Best Thing About Me
    - acoustic live in set, disappointed as I don't like the acoustic version but it felt from the beginning and on JT30 gigs that they couldn't figure out how to play it so smoothly so makes sense.

Get Out of Your Own Way
    - full band live in set

    American Soul
    - full band live in set

    Summer of Love
    - never made rehearsals, think it could make the odd appearance if theres an alternating position in the set. Really thought the pop song feel would make it but then again, California & Volcano barely saw the stage on i&e.

    Red Flag Day
    - never made rehearsals, didn't think this would be played despite it being fun, hard to imagine it live. so not surprised.

    The Showman (Little More Better)
    - rehearsed but dropped for now - very disappointed to see how long this lasted in rehearsals to see it cut now - we'll see it live no doubt, but a shame that a current song has lost its position as a gig stable, assuming this was cut when the decision to introduce MacPhisto came in. Desire, Vertigo, Elevation are made for MacPhisto - even if we've heard them many times before. Will be fun to see MacPhisto none the less

The Little Things That Give You Away
    - never made rehearsals, not surprised seeing the way they dropped all things JT, but its a great album track, think it would be nice towards then end of the main set. instead of Blinding Lights perhaps?

    Landlady
    - never made rehearsals, really wanted this live but never thought it'd get a run out, hopefully one day but i wouldn't be on it.

    The Blackout
    - full band live in set - many fans predictions for this being the opener come true, U2 listen - or at least, understand

Love Is Bigger Than Anything in Its Way
    - full band live in set - my prediction for a closer and I see it as at least part of the closing package as 13 will be minute and subdued very much a 'post concert' song if that makes sense

    13 (There Is a Light)
    - full band live in set - see above, glad it's here. love the idea of closing the gigs with the same words the album end with
  6. Red Flag Day is a huge miss, how do they not know this song kicks ass??

honestly, all songs from SOE can be really good live. showman i thought would live because of the song’s nature
  8. very interested to hear that RBW / William blake poem to Wild horses segue

  9. I think it should be dropped.
  10. Only a savant could find a narrative in this.
  11. Horses/Wolves is there some sort of Innocence/Experience connection?
