Oh you say maybe Elevation is played to much over the years....ok how about the new Songs ?

    There......D E A D as well:

The Problem are not the Songs ist the C R O W D. 99% watching their Mobiles or the Screen or talking to there neigbours instead of cheering, dancing, jumping and clapping. Times have changed dramaticaly.

    These Crowd doesnt exists anymore:

    last time saw them there
  2. That crowd in Amsterdam last year was something else
  3. Band gets older, crowd gets older
  4. There's always this discussion when they're touring USA. In Europe things will be different even if crowd is older now.
  5. I was in the Amsterdam crowd last year, freaking out to I will follow.
Dutch radio DJ's played U2's first singles right away. The band always feels they have a connection to the fans, maybe because we picked up their spirit right away and still love the band.
  6. Amsterdam and Argentina

That World In Action documentary footage was broadcast in the UK two days after the Cardiff Arms Park gig I was at as a 13 year old. It was equally as vibrant. Full of energy. Possibly the most excited crowd I have been in for a U2 show. Those original Joshua Tree gigs were fantastic.
I have seen them on every tour and have noticed changes in the crowds in different venues and cities. Still, there is still an energy in the house even if the crowd are not too active. Those songs can have some great effects on me and people I see around me. That alone is worth the price of admission.
  8. The crowd in 1987 was in its twenties on average. The crowd in 2001 was probably 20-45, on average. Some of the U2 crowd now will be in their sixties. You can't expect them to bounce around like they're 14 anymore. I don't.

Agree, but looking at the footage of Amsterdam and Argentina we can still bust a move.

  11. I was in the crowd at Wembley and Cardiff arms park in the eighties and I have never experienced any crowd involvement as passionate since, you didn’t have toilet breaks you slugged it out for 8 hours on the pitch and the crowd knew the lyrics to EVERY song, those days are long gone but there are still those moments u get when the hairs still stand up on your neck again
