i was actually at that 8th night in nyc

    party girl was great
  2. It’s obviously much better for us listening in or people going to a lot of shows if they play a lot of songs over the tour but I don’t think the band should be expected to do that. I do think it would be reasonable though to ask them to rotate more from night 1 to night 2. They rotated roughly about 4 songs from night 1 to night 2 on I&E, that’s a good level of rotation I’d say but we’re not at that level yet on this tour. Now that they’ve played 30 songs they could even just rotate amongst them, keep 22 regulars and have 4 rotation slots between them. We might not get to hear anything new at home but people going to 2 nights will see a reasonable amount of rotation live. NYD, ABOY, Wild Horses and SFS weren’t played last night why not play them tonight?

  3. In 5 shows the i+E tour had at least 32 songs, and those were 24-25 songs each. Here they played 27 songs the first show and they only have introduced RFD, Gloria and NYD after that, for a total of 30 songs. I don't think they can play 18 extra songs in the rest of the American leg to be in the same league as I+E.

Probably right that at this rate they won’t catch I & E, but oh well. They’re playing 26 songs a night this tour compared to 23-24 in 2015 (and only 21-22 for TJT2017), 7-8 are new songs, none of them are from their most famous album, and one of them is Acrobat. Sure they could always rotate more but given what we’ve gotten so far, I’d say the band still has some balls.
  5. Does anyone know if video cameras are allowed?
  6. as long as they are small and not professional, but u still may get hassled getting it in so may have to be sneaky
  7. Camera policy is always a bit hit & miss, varies across venues, with venues not even adhering to their own policy.

Eg, tonight is at T-Mobile Arena. There policy prohibits,

    - Cameras with interchangeable/detachable lens or external flash (No Professional Photography)

    - Audio/Visual Recording Devices (includes GoPro, Google Glass, Spectacles, etc.)

But any smartphone will record audio/video, are they banned! All cameras will record it too.

A point & shoot is fine. Normally a small ICL camera (with a lens shorter than 100mm) is generally ok too.

Larger ICL cameras, bridge cameras, superzooms & DSLR's usually won't be allowed. I wouldn't think you'd get a video camera in either, unless it's the size of a GoPro (which is officially banned).

So leave the video camera at home, if you're trying to get in there quickly for GA, or if you couldn't be bothered checking it in, if it's not allowed.
  8. It seems a bit strange we've had SFS and Wild Horses at the first show, but they haven't been touched since : surely they could rotate these in for the multiple nights? Wild Horses would fit nicely between Acrobat and Best Thing, surely?

For sure it would work again as the encore opener.

SFS I think they dropped because it makes no sense to play SFS & 13 at the same show. I don't think they'll bring it back.
  10. Put it down your pants and if anyone looks interested just say quite loudly to whoever is with you that the anti-biotics don't seem to be working. No one will go there.
  11. MRW I was absolutely ecstatic about they finally playing Acrobat for the first time and nobody I know cared at all.

  12. These IEM rehearsals are amazing. Showman needs to be played.
