    My first U2 show was in 1987, never missed a tour since. Just wanted to point out that they managed to blow me away in 2015 and 2017 and I wouldn't be surprised if that happened again in Berlin later this year.


  5. At Chicago, for the first pass through, when they hit NLOTH hard, the crowd was engaged... Maybe it was the scale, maybe it was performing on the lake, who knows, but, my experience with that show was extremely positive... On the back side, at SF for 360 II, more old stuff, but still rocking...

    And, your comment resonates - however, the NLOTH songs were awesome live... The SOE songs, well, maybe heartfelt and maybe introspective, but, all I can say is that I am glad I didn't bring either of my kids - it would likely have turned them off from the band... (And, JT or SOI would not have had the same effect...)
  6. Well, I did say something about this show in general as being designed to be somewhat uncomfortable. But that doesn't mean I'm OK with playing RFD only occasionally. And this actually points to the Chicago show "on topic."

    And, moving forward to tonight's show: just add in Bad or WGRYWH before One and the show would go a whole lot better without compromising on its artistic intentions.

  10. I like the first legs in 2009 of the 360 tour a way more than the 2010-2011 legs, that was just a greatest hits tour. I have no problems with the SOE and SOI songs. Altough the best songs of SOE are not played. It is more the lack of variation around the new songs.
