There’s probably a lot of people that will be put off seeing u2 because they play so much new material, so it works both ways I guess and as you say there’s different moods with songs like satisfaction and 13 so I accept that.

That is just so much fun! Perhaps not night after night, but I went two times last year and it was great. Just great. And such a thing is impossible to "read" from a setlist...

In a way it brings it back to the being there vs listening at home argument again. For me anyway songs like vertigo and elevation which I’m always asking to be dropped I always enjoy in person. I’d still like them to be dropped but it’s hard to argue with the band playing them when the crowd are always so up for them. There’s things that reading of a Setlist or listening to on a bootleg will never be captured. Anyway I listened in to the show last night and it sounded like a good performance from the band and a great crowd as well.

Loved the Mr. MacPhisto speech tonight. Focused around the tariffs recently set on Canada by President Trump. Bono made way to explain the G7 Summit this upcoming weekend was hopefully to take time to discuss the 130 million girls not going to school but now it’s going to be all about tariffs on steel and maple (fuckin’) syrup! You can’t make this shit up.

18th show last night and this band never disappoints. Had a great spot on the rail about a 1/3 down from the E Stage.

People still can't seem to grasp the fact that if you tune in here every night, of course the show will get redundant. But for the the majority of those attending the shows, they aren't following along with the set lists and are getting an amazing night of music...

Here's my question: How many in here that are bitching about the "boring" setlist a)have seen the show live yet, b) are still going to see it, despite it being "boring", and c) going to see more than one show to further bore themselves?

I jumped, danced and sang myself hoarse in Atlanta. As did about 15,000 other folks in the crowd. And most were singing every word of the new songs... Listening to the show and following the setlist is such a one-dimensional way to experience this spectacle, and a narrow and tremendously obtuse way to judge this show. As is comparing it to Pearl Jam, or Springsteen, or blah blah blah...

I agree for the most part. I stopped comparing them to pj years ago because it’s not a fair comparison. They approach live shows in a different way. I wouldn’t call this boring however I can’t help but to feel slightly disappointed with the zero rotation. Let’s be honest, we don’t know how many shows our boys have left in them. So for me the more songs that get played the better. Plus this tour is shaping up to have the smallest amount of unique songs played. Having said all this, my excitement for my shows is at an an all time high and I can’t wait to properly judge it by being there.
