  2. Just got back to NYC late yesterday . Had a fantastic 2 week in Europe . Spent the last 4 nights in Rome . Such a great beautiful city. Had a great time at PJ on our last night and it was a gorgeous beautiful night . The Italia fans were incredible around us in the GA and as I’ve said in the past they are IMHO the best fans of all . Release opening was spine tingling as always , but there is something magical hearing Europeans singing the English lyrics to perfection. The fans went ballistic during Corduroy and Why Go , but they seemed to lose a bit of steam after that , but not the band . A guy by me had a sign that read Let Stone Sing and it was great when he busted out Mankind. Pilot has always been a favorite of mine for some reason so it was great hearing it . Immortality is another favorite and it was magnificent in Rome . The set was very good indeed and Ed’s voice was tough in spots , Given to Fly didn’t have the usual bite , but he made it

    Overall I loved the show . It was a cherry on a wonderful trip through Spain France and Italia . The food and wine in those 3 countries are indeed magnificent.
    My favorite spot was Barcelona (followed closely by Roma), it’s not too big , it’s just right . And it’s so clean . I just love the feel of that city .

    The performance itself though was incredible. The band were on point.

    Barcelona is one of the best cities in the world to live in and to visit as a tourist. It's plain incredible

    So glad you got to enjoy this 2 week trip peaking with a fantastic PJ show
  5. It was indeed great Sergio . Barcelona was amazing . I also loved Avignon in France . I had Rhône wine not too far from the Rhône river. Beautiful place . Especially if you live wine as I do No wonder EV loves Europe lol

    Ahh, forgot you were in Rome for the gig! Did you have 10C seats?
  8. Sadly U2 aren't the only band around that forgets us down here. Been watching the sets in Europe and wish they'd come back. Nearly five years is too long
  9. Been looking at some of the Roma footage. Ugh..
    I'm inclined to see them again. And again and again.

    This band is so good.
    Also your messages about Rome and Barcelona really.motivate me to go see a show there. I've always been a bit intimidated by the laguage barrier. ( As in. I hardly speak the langauge.. )


    But i long for that kind of intensity on a crowd.
    The dutch can be too mellow and cynic somethimes. Night one in Amsterdam was a bit too calm.

    Rome might be a tiny bit more hostile toward non-Italian speakers, but both cities are perfectly ok with foreigners, and most people will try to understand and interact with you in English no problem. And yeah, "Latin Europe" crowds are something else!

    One thing I’ve learned about PJ is it’s never enough. Go as much as u can afford because the next show is always better than the last. I went 8 times in 2016 and still wanted more
  12. 10 times for me this summer feels like enough but I don't know if I'll want more by the end of August. Loving it so far, even if there's been one cancellation
