Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. Exciting we could be finding out some rehearsal news soon. To put my reasoning to the above about wild horses I think the band just didn’t feel it fit the show considering they performed it well both times it was played and they felt comfortable enough to give it a go at the Apollo show. I’m not saying I agree it didn’t fit in the show but what other reason is there?
  2. Do rehearsals start tonight?

I also think that they will drop American Soul but unlike many others this will be a shame! It was absolutely incredible when they performed it live in the States and was definitely a highlight for me at the NYC/Newark shows. Still Red Flag and Summer of Love will be great replacements!
  4. I hope they'll dust off zoo station once again for Berlin!
  5. Why drop American Soul? It's been a key thematic point of the shows so far.
  6. as long as they add something to that encore
  7. AS was their ‘letter’ to America. I don’t see following Bono’s essay that’s just been published how AS fits with the EU narrative. It’s such a narrative heavy show that each song has a part to play - there is nothing superfluous in the current set list - no song that isn’t telling part of that story so to play AS, for me anyway, wouldn’t work - especially since RFD and SOL have more of a European subject/message (the refuge crisis) that it feels like it could be a ‘like for like’ swap with AS. Personally I hope SATS stays as it’s an under rated song - however considering SOL on record is acoustic I can see that one replacing SATS and RFD taking the ‘rock’ slot.

In terms of WGTRYWH I can see why this won’t make it - they’ve always been frustrated by this song (and they’ve spoken about this quite a bit) - they never quite nailed it and having watched the footage from Tulsa and The Apollo I wasn’t overly convinced they’d got there. Personally I love that song and I was lucky enough to see them play it at Twickenham in 2005 when they were trying to resurrect it last time - I was chuffed to bits that they were playing it but most others around me weren’t all that into it.
  8. Never noticed the opening line of Wild Horses on the Baby Versions... quite a coincidence.

Also, we need a good Zooropa like on the final leg of 360 tour

I’d love to hear them do the Baby version - that guitar part is fantastic. I think that opening line may be why it was revisited - only problem being the majority of the audience doesn’t know that version.

Zooropa 360 version would be a great addition to the set list - Please would also work thematically...
  10. yes, with a big American flag. Bono already said there will be a big EU flag this time, so we can only guess if they will drop the whole song, or maybe they will make the EU flag fit with American Soul somehow.
