Yea but with its inclusion they’re inching even closer to the I&E tour. I could think of at least 5 other similar songs that would fit there that haven’t been played yet (or more than once).
I agree there’s other songs that would get me more excited but I’ll have EBTTRT over Desire every day of the week. I also like EBTTRT to an extent that I don’t get bored of hearing it so it can’t really be overplayed to me, again that doesn’t mean it’s first pick but it’s good enough to never be considered a poor or dull pick.

Exactly. They have so many other songs they could use, and even better got played every show on the IE tour and the last 30% of 360 as well. It doesn't need to come back

I understand where you’re coming from but the way I look at it the inclusion of a great song is welcome regardless of how often it’s been played, and Real Thing has still been relatively underplayed anyway in the last 20 years. Maybe if you look at it as another vertigo or elevation you’ll see it differently but Real thing to me is a great song.

I've never heard it performed live so, for me, it's not 'coming back'. Remember, the band seem to operate on the assumption that the vast majority of their live audience won't be attending multiple shows on a tour. I fully appreciate that plenty of people on a forum like this have been to dozens of live performances stretching back decades, and who are lucky enough to be able to attend multiple shows on a tour. But in October I'll 'only' be seeing them for the 4th time. EBTTRT is perhaps my favourite U2 song, I've never heard it live before so I'd be delighted if it's played at the one concert this year I'll be attending.
  5. Real Thing was cool as hell on the 360 tour.

    Oh, I'm done.
  6. Paris GA Drop now on Ticketmaster France
  7. how do people know when there is a 'ticket drop'? The U2.com site still shows Paris sold out, yet the above post says there is a ticket drop.....thanks

Someone posted it on a U2 FB group fan page. I went onto ticketmaster and they had GA for Sept 12 and 13th. Its always best to check via ticketmaster/eventim directly rather than U2.com. They often don't last very long though so got to be quick. People know because they're either constantly refreshing, or just happened to stumble across it and shared it with everyone.
  9. Dude I just got a GA ticket for 13th thanks to you. I had lost all hope of seeing the prices go down on those crap scalper site like viagogo, so glad to be able to buy an official retail price ticket !

    Thanks
