  5. The virus explanation story for Bono's laryngitis from the doctor in NY is the most likely diagnosis. Also, I read where it was much colder in Berlin than expected and there was a cold wind blowing. Coming from the south of France where it was warm all summer may have been a shock to his system.This set up could be a way of catching a virus that targets the throat.
