Right! My girlfriend likes u2 not a fan. She went with me to 360, i+e, JT and saturday the paris gig. She says u2 play to much of the same songs and she right about that. Al least vertigo, elevation, one have to be repliceerde. Also Iris and Bloody sunday.
  2. Why is she going again if she doesnt like what they are doing? I can see diehards bitching "sometimes" but casual fans? She is in the minority as a casual fan. My wife is a casual fan and they want to hear them play the hits most of the time and most I know say the same thing.
  3. Yesterday I arrived at the venue when RFD was soundchecked...very cool - and very relieved to hear Bono already

Didn't hear anything of the alleged TUF rehearsal (and glad that I didn't know until this morning - It can really "spoil" the show
if you are hoping for something that doesn't come...!)

Anyway, what I did hear was "One hundred, two hundred, three hundred...!" sometime later in the soundcheck of GOOYOW...
I thought that was very interesting: GOOYOW with BTBS snippet...!

Did anyone else heard this too yesterday?
  4. If TUF will be played this tour, i imagine in place of EBTTRT, this new version not convinced me (IMO EBTTRT is a good only opening a show)
  5. The Unforgettable Fire is such a damn special U2 song. Would've liked to see U2 do more of those "etherial" songs on this tour, as I feel like SoE takes some cues from that area of U2's sound.
  6. I can’t seee TUF rotating with anything in the set I reckon when/if it appears it will be an additional song and remain fixed in the set. All or nothing with the song basically. I think it could work before or after beautiful Day.
  7. Probably would not work thematically. But tempo/setlist placement I think TUF "IF played" would work in place of Iris. I do no think they are dropping Iris however.
Will be interesting to see if it happens. My guess would be at one of the Paris shows it may appear. If it is soundchecked again then they are planning to play it or are strongly considering it at least.
  8. Meh, the "thematic" stuff really only counts for half the setlist anyway. The rest they could easily change and it would only make the show better (as it hasn't changed in a while). I think it'd do well replacing Iris. As much as I love that song, I was disappointed to see it presented the exact same way.
  9. If they consider playing TUF, then the best place imo would be the as the encore opener. Would give more life and energy to the encore instead of going to One right away. Also, personally, I don't see TUF rotating, can't find a suitable place..
My guess: they're gonna play TUF only in the 4nighters somewhere in the setlist, because there's no way they're changing the encore...They love it so much
  10. Some news about today soundcheck (if they did it)?
  11. I would love to hear Exit again. It won't happen this tour.

There is a version of it on Joshua Tree: New Roots by fangclub and it sounds more heavy. It sounds great. I would love to hear U2 for a version like that live instead of likes of Vertigo.
  12. I can see TUF coming in before The Ocean, or instead of Beautiful Day which would then get moved to the end of the show.

    Red Flag Day
    Unforgettable Fire
    Ocean/Iris
    Cedarwood
    ...
    Beautiful Day
    One
    Live Is Bigger
