  2. I was very skeptical about the encore and that's probably one of the best endings I've ever seen for any concert. One really got the crowd to take Love is Bigger to another level. And 13 is such a lovely way to close this cycle that started in 2014/15.

  3. I’ve only just watched this and the love for this song and crowd interaction seems to be growing by the gig. I love the song anyway but this atmosphere is really adding to it and making it for me at least a potential all time live highlight. I think I’ll need 13 after it though just to get me back to planet earth.

    Seriously? Comparing a desk job/factory job or anything like that to what U2 does is ridiculous. Edge even commented recently as a band they were playing fantastic. So obviously they get some type of satisfaction out of that. Playing the same setlist most nights is really common for a lot of artists. Doesn't mean it is mundane to the artist though. Making thousands of people go crazy/enjoy themselves and feeling like you are playing great as a band cannot be a mundane feeling, period.

    I do think toward the end of a tour though the band tends to kind of coast a little. But I do not get that vibe yet just because of the setlists. When they stop soundchecking they are in coast mode. That is how we will know.

    Do you get bored listening to u2 all the time. Or the same u2 songs on the albums, because I certainly don’t. So why would the band that created these songs get played of playing their own material and making everyone or most of their fans happy

  9. I think to be fair most people do probably get bored of hearing certain songs over and over. I know I don’t get particularly excited about hearing elevation, vertigo or I will Follow at the moment. Certain others though like COBL, NYD and UTEOTW I can listen to every day and they’re still as enjoyable as ever. Perhaps the band are more concerned about feeding off the energy of the crowd so they don’t get bored but there’s been plenty of artists in the past that haven’t played certain material for a while because they’ve grown tired of it.

    I also enjoyed the last part of the show - and everything that came before, actually. U2 still pack a solid punch. Intro + Blackout was insane. Lights of Home is now one of my favourite U2 songs. Summer of Love was yet another highlight. And it keeps going.

    They're almost pushing 60, and I find myself enjoying their new material even more than the 2000's hits.

    I'm much more excited about the band now than I was in 2000/2001 and 2004/2005... I recks these two tours are much better than Elevation and Vertigo.
