    That be's true. But with East Rutherford you get a proper full length Bad (instead of those 5 minute jobs from Saitama), an amazing Gloria, flawless Vertigo and everything else just gets nailed

    Agreed - like I said earlier, for me it stole the show, even being so early on the setlist something different on a Vertigo show that I hadn't heard before...

    Sound

    Better than I would I have expected. Originally I would have shied away from three star bootlegs but, after firstly hearing the Berlin 7/7/05 gig and now this, my opinion has improved greatly. Despite the lack o bass (clearly lost in with or without you) and certain parts where Bono would sound ‘distant’, the sound is clear, unbroken and full of vibe you would expect from an audience recording, even with the audience lack of timing the their clapping.

    Performance

    The setlist was far more unique than many had experienced in the first and second legs of the vertigo tour, with songs such as Gloria, Crumbs at Your Table and Instant Karme popping there head round the door and biting the balls of the audience. They were a surprise, but performed well? Gloria is probably one of the best song for October and the performance showed it, played with a real oomph, commitment and passion. Crumbs at your table, barring similarities to All Because of You rightly replaced it for the odd one off shows, but I’m not being a big fan of either live of studio.
    Apart from the odd surprise, the setlist also featured a few rearrangements. Most notable that to the time Original of the Species was played and the replacement of Zoo Station with Until the end of the World, both keeping the setlist fresh for those who attend various nights, both blunting the show in there individual way. Why play Original of the Species just after rock out tracks such as Beautiful day, Elevation and Vertigo, why not put it in the place of Crumbs at your Table. Until the end of the World I feel would have been better suited played after Zoo Station and in turn of Mysterious Ways, And wheres The Fly!

    Stand out Points

    Rant over, there were plenty of highs, Gloria as previously mentioned. City of blinding Lights is the best I’ve heard as an opener since the Chicago performance. Running to Stand still is my favorite song, put its still nice to have a passenger representative present in the set, and to be preformed so well. And finally, apart from the usual solid tracks such as Where The Streets Have No Name and One, the final to tracks deserve a mention for the finish they gave the show. Yahweh wasn’t the best I’ve heard but, that along with ‘40’ really gave the show a relaxed ending, almost making you feel sad when they leave, like all good gigs should.

    Negatives.

    Is Elevation slowly dying, and what has Bono got with these bloody Christmas Tree, I thought the Aussies had it bad.

    Bono talks about the extravagance of ZooTV before Miss Sarajevo, and I wanted to see if anyone can confirm a rumor I heard years back....I've heard that the only reason the band made any money on ZooTV was because of t-shirt sales. I've also heard that after paying for the Popmart Tour, each bandmember took home $40 million dollars.

    Anyone confirm or resolve either of those?

    I think it's just the other way around... I'm sure about the t-shirt sale on PopMart saving them from bankrupcy. They probably made large profits on ZooTV then.

    Clarify if you will, Dan....do you just listen to it too much, or listen to old boots a lot? I mean, it really hasn't been played prominently on a tour in almost 20 years.

    I definitely heard that ZooTV ran at evens only. Very expensive.

    I also heard they did manage to make money on Popmart by learning from that (no TV link-up probably; or pizzas...), but have no idea of the costs

    Do you think Popmart cost more than ZooTV? I'm terrible at guessing the cost of things....
