..that 'long term contract' that was mentioned a few weeks back has never been confirmed by a second or third source, so I doubt whether they did sign a contract for another ten years..

Europe had a five year gap between 360 and I+E. I would not be surprised if we're in for another 5 year gap.
I know, I know, Australia's gap has been much longer..
  3. they decide to play some "obscure" songs only in the end of the tour sounds strange to me... they really won't go to australia/south america?
  4. if they were saying goodbye they would go to australia and south america, right? RIGHT?

  5. It was rehearsed on the Vertigo tour. Obviously never made a setlist other than a long snippet. It was a very rough/raw version with no electronic backing like it had on the Zoomerang tour.

    I hope they drop BD.
  7. I can't see Gloria going into Dirty Day, it's too much of a slow burner. I could see Gloria - UF - Dirty Day.

But I guess it all depends on how they do it.

    Fuck this is exciting.

  8. I don't know how stuff like that works, but I suspect that a contract like that may have a retirement clause in it. It may say something like "we'll work with you as long as we're still touring, but if we decide we're done, we're under no further obligation to you".

Honestly, I don't think the 2 or 3 year long tours are that horrible compared to shorter ones like the last 3 "quickie" tours. They just have to take nice little 3 or 4 or even 6 month breaks in the middle of the tour between legs.

The 360 Tour was "only" 110 shows. From 2007 to 2014, they played only 110 concerts.

But then from 2015-2018, we're getting 187 shows.

No doubt a well-deserved break will be taken in 2019.

    But beyond that?
Well, they're obviously rehearsing for the AB30 tour already!

  9. Imagine if they played Achtung and Zooropa back to back live! ...I think that'd just blow my mind!

Also imagine taking the idea of ZooTV show/stage into this century.
  10. i dont want to be negative here but in three years time will bono still be able to sing these songs as well as he does now?
  11. i really prefer that they come to south america/australia with a few concerts to close the tour with a special few songs from AB/Zooropa, closing the narrative of the tour.
