  1. I really don't think that. It doesn't make any sense in Berlin whatsoever.
  2. Exactly. Just listen to the rehearsal and hear why it makes more sense to play it in Dublin than Berlin. I wouldn't be surprised if it is only played in Dublin and not in Berlin.
  4. Why wouldn't it make sense when they can just remove the "boys returning home" line?

    Iris was played at every show before Copenhagen and during the Innocence tour, and it's a song very tightly connected with Dublin and Bono's childhood. They're not usually that geographically sensitive. I just don't see them dropping a song with new visuals and a big speech for the DVD/Blu-ray shoot. What I do see is that this bizarre Broadway version goes down like a wet fart in the audience, which may result in it being dropped before it sees Berlin.

    Hell, it remains to be seen whether it'll actually get played at all.
  6. They have been filming additional shots since Manchester, so they can just edit in other stuff should it be needed.

    Out of interest, can anyone think of any noticeable edits in recent years on dvd releases from the band? I know about Gone for elevation Boston but any mistakes that you can hear on bootlegs that have been edited out? (I feel like I remember a slight bass mistake from Adam for the 360 rose bowl show during magnificent being removed as well) And when they do that stuff do they always prefer to use not only visuals from other shows but also audio so that it gives it the natural live feel?

    I was at that show in the Rosebowl, right at the front near to Adam and can state with certainty that there were a number of issues at the beginning that were edited for the DVD release. The sound was quite poor for the opening song, hence the omission.

    Paris 2015:
    - The whole flag scene was cut out, cutting Bad short by a minute. (Bono hung the flag in the wrong way)
    - The intro of Streets (guitar) was fucked up by Edge, they cut that out.
  12. Thanks for they answers, I’ve never been to a show released on dvd and never listened to the bootlegs of them just ripped the audio from dvd so never noticed these things although I do recall the flag scene from Paris 2015, that made the tv version right? But was then edited out on the dvd.
