2018-08-31 - Berlin
Tour: Experience and Innocence tour
Songs played: 25
Audio recordings: 2
Videos: 1
  1. Hope the DVD comes out soon.

Is JT Tour getting a release?
  2. Also - Bono’s shout out to Brian Eno tonight makes the optimist in me think that they may work together again. Eno being at a U2 show cannot be a bad thing. 2021, U2, Eno - I’ll keep repeating those words for the next 3 years and it just might happen
  3. As long as U2 are physically able to play well they will return!
Our beloved band are going away on a well deserved break but they will be back a little down the road - perhaps in 2020/2021.
I think they love and respect their fans too much to just retire without a farewell tour like R.E.M. did after releasing Collapse Into Now.

Willie Williams is already working on new ideas according to this article in TPi Magazine:

"As we intend to film the last show in Berlin [13 November 2018], we don't want anything that was in the 2015 show," Williams revealed. "So the band have been shaping up alternative numbers while we're programming. Most bands would do that during their production rehearsal period whereas these guys are happy to carry on."

Not for the first time, one ponders on how U2 could possibly follow this latest tour. Does Williams have anything up his sleeve yet? "Of course... it would be rude not to!" he said, flashing a knowing smile. "There are 3 ideas in the bag. They are now off the tracks in terms of what a band should be doing and that is immensely liberating for all of us."

    Enough said!

    Seconded on all counts.

2019 will be a very well-deserved year-off, and 2020 and beyond, who knows? They will all be at home in Dublin, and I have trouble believing that they can get through all of 2020 without doing something together, even if it's just playing together in the studio just for fun. IMHO, in 2021, they will be on the road again, with or without a new album - if it's without, I could very easily see the next tour being the occasionally-rumored AB anniversary tour; if it's with, then it's probably a tour with the combination of new album and AB commemoration, much in the mold of the SOE/AB shows from Copenhagen #2 and beyond on this past European leg.

They'll be back - they all need some time to rest and spend time with their families for a bit. Can't begrudge them that.

People have got to get over their reunion fantasy. You just had 6 of the 12 songs played tonight in the city of it's conception. It really doesn't get any better than that.

I fail to see how their working with Eno again is a fantasy. They worked with him on NLOTH. I wouldn't rule anything out. Now, if they had worked with him once, in the 80s and never again since then, then yes, it would be in the league of fantasy.

    That is not the case.

Yes I captured the U2gigs stream especially if anyone else did not. There is a one second gap in Dirty Day but otherwise all there. Haven’t done anything with it yet since I was working.
