1. Well done, and thanks for being here.

    Listen to live In Europe. The band had cut back to a three piece, so he and bassist Stu Cook had some very inovative playing to cover for the missing Tom Fogarty. Tragicly the only way to get the reissue is as a import from Japan.

    Was he reissued from Japan when he went missing?

    I'll try and find it, but.....the guitar parts in the studio versions are all pretty basic. That's all I'm trying to say.
  3. He had quit the band a couple years earlier. For some reason they didn't replace him. Also some of the best guitar parts of all time are pretty basic.

    True, but you can't make the argument that basic guitar parts are underrated. I'm not buying it.
  5. They are pretty basic. Mostly I respect him for his skills as a multi-instrumentalist. The harmonica on Run Through The Jungle is among the best uses of said instrument.

    okay, I can respect him for that.

    So pretty much anything that you blow into, hit or pluck?

    okay, but who CAN'T play the kazoo?
  10. Combine that with the fact that he has a pretty unique voice, and its no wonder he still has fans.
  11. I am off for today. C ya
  12. Really bizarre query - according to www.u2gigs.com, So Cruel was played 3 times as a song in its own right during ZooTV;

    · 1992-08-22 - Foxboro, Massachusetts - Foxboro Stadium
    · 1992-09-09 - Pontiac, Michigan - Pontiac Silverdome
    · 1992-09-15 - Tinley Park, Illinois - World Music Ampitheater

    Now, the first 2 boots exist on here, but the 3rd show doesn't lol! Is it a case of no one being able to find a boot or that they made this show up lol? The Foxboro show only has half the song, 'cause the claim is that Bono only sang half of it on his own? And the Michigan show only has the first 9 tracks because it's part of the "Eye Of The Fly" show or something?
