    Please import anything but them!

Noel Gallagher would be nice. He hasn't been here on his current tour either
  2. I am excited
  3. Any news on when the announcement is expected or is it wait and see?
  4. From the sounds of it, any time this month would be my guess.
  5. Yes so think I
  6. Auckland rumoured to be opening the tour.

Makes me wonder how many shows NZ will get. 2 at max probably, maybe even just one. Probably looking at around 9-10 for Aus and 2-4 in Asia?
  7. Yeah, if it's stadiums all around I'd guess 2 shows for Auckland. That's what they got for 360 & Vertigo, both at Mt Smart.

I suppose Asia is the big unknown. Could just be Japan, or maybe Singapore also. Or if the rumours about Vietnam turn out to be true, they could add places like Bangkok, Jakarta or India (all of which would have been extremely unexpected if you asked anyone a few months ago). Who knows. Interesting times!
  8. Expect we will see Tokyo in the Asia leg.

Singapore, Manila & Hong Kong are my guesses for other cities.
  9. Japan would be great. Much cheaper and easier to get to than Aus. Was going to go in May for Noel Gallagahers tour but exams got in the way.

They could easily do 4 shows there as well. Singapore looks possible too.

  10. I forgot about Hong Kong. Yeah, you'd expect that to be high on the list of Asian cities, as long as China doesn't still hold a grudge about U2's participation in the Tibetan Freedom concert. No idea what their policies are with concerts in Hong Kong.

Yeah, I'm thinking about Japan too, plus Oz. Would normally be in Europe by November, but I've always wanted to go to Japan. Japan in December, concerts, the unique culture, onsens & snowboarding the best powder on the planet. All sounds very tempting.

Japan looks to be quite a lot cheaper than Singapore nowadays. Not just the cost of travel, but also the cost of concert tickets.

I'm currently listening to an old Noel Gallagher interview on Talksport (2016) and he mentioned that he's banned from China for his participation in that Freedom concert. Is it the same for U2?
