1. got your nose!

  2. ok, but when you use common sense instead of some vague information; does it makes sense that U2, after touring 3 out of the last 4 years still haven't fullfill their contractual obligations with only 1 year of the contract remaining? I doubt it, unless there is a special obligation regarding Australia in the contract. But moneywise, there is not much reason anymore to go to Australia.

I don't see much economical reason to put that whole entourage and send it half way around the world for what, 15 shows?

I hope I'm wrong for my brothers and sisters down under's sake, but it just doesn't seem to make much sense...

    Vertigo 2006 Japan/Australia/NZ/Hawaii grossed $52m USD from 13 shows.

Average gross of just over $4m USD.

    Overheads wise, we’ll never know.

I doubt they would go tour somewhere if they didn’t make any money? So they must be doing well. And ticket sales in excess of $50m USD is not shabby.

    Decent numbers.

Do you know how much the average gross per show was for US and European shows?
  6. Just under 5m USD average for the 32 stadium shows in Europe. (If my maths is correct) 4.8-4.9m USD average roughly.

It's true that they may not break even until the 20th show.
